contemporary pin meet

I am planning on going to the Contemporary pin meet on Friday Jan 2 (if there is one on that day...) and want to get some info on the meet. When do they start, how long do they last, and where in the Contemporary do you guys meet? Are kids usually at the meet, or should I send them into a park? I want to get a priority seating for Chef Mickey on that night, so a starting time for the meet will definitely help me plan the time for the dinner seating. Thanks for any help

I will be there!!! I leave CT on Dec 26th, and will stay in FL at least until Jan 10th. I don't have to be back in CT until Jan 18th so I might stay longer if I get the job I am applying for.
I finally will get to meet Martha who lives in the same state as I do but is never in CT. She is always either at the Cape or in FL.
I am not sure if Martha really exists.
I didn't believe there was really a LynniethePooh until this September event when I finally met her. Maybe Martha is Lynnie's sister? Peggie

I'll bet you are doing the counting down thingy huh???

The pin meet starts at 7:00, but sometimes there are people there earlier to grab the seats, and pull all the tables up to them,
and it lasts till 11o or whenever people want to stop trading..there is a lot of kids there usually, and a special place for them to trade, w/ their own trade board, and a place to sit and color etc. it is fenced in w/ cm members watching..

sometimes a group of will sit on the floor by the doors to outside, and we can run out and watch firework when they are set off. it is complete w/ the music from MK..very cool..

so it seems like a lot of us will be there...if we have recovered from New Years Eve

Well, Peggie, I am very surprised and excited that I will get to meet you, too!! That is an added bonus for my vacation plans. We are getting there on Dec. 22 and leave on Jan.4 , but the only Friday night I have for the pin meet is the one in January. I look forward to meeting many of you pin traders! Yes, I really DO exist, and I have the pin bills to prove it! Donna, thanks for the info. If it is not an Enight that Fri., which I think it might be, my kids will probably want to go with me. Otherwise, sounds like they'll be picking me up at the Contemporary after E night's over!
