I have a question and I need advice. We already booked our Disneymoon and we just decided to go one day earlier then we planned. So now we need to figure out which resort to stay at. We can’t decide between the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge. The reason I want the Contemporary is because when we switch rooms the next day we can just take all our stuff over to BLT and also because it was be easier for us to get our Wedding stuff over to Franck’s. But then a part of me wants to stay at the Wilderness Lodge because of all of the Christmas decorations and because I know my DF will love it! Help! Which resort would you guys choose?

personally, I would choose contemporary strictly because of the simplicity and location. Especially if you mention that you are staying at BLT afterwards. If your room wasn't ready bell services could just hold on to your stuff for you and you can go on with your day. Why put yourself through the extra stress of completly changing resorts if you don't have to? :goodvibes

I hear what you're saying about the wilderness though! It is a BEAUTIFUL resort!! Would it be possible to add a night at the end of your stay and move there? Or how about booking a seperate trip for your one year anniversary?

Congrats and good luck :-)

I was going to say the Contemporary 'til I read about the timing of your trip. If you're moving anyway, I would definitely do the one night at the WL. It's so beautiful at Christmas time ... very cozy and romantic. :cloud9:

We've done one night at one resort and then the remainder of the trip at another several times ... it always feels like an extra "vacation" because you get to try two themed resorts. :thumbsup2

I'd do the Contemporary for convenience and then plan to spend some time wandering around Wilderness Lodge and maybe having a nice meal at Artist Point. The decorations around the resort are great, but the room you get will look the same as it does the rest of the year. :)

Couldn't have said it better myself:thumbsup2

We booked the Contemporary! Its just for one night but it will be so much easier for us to check into BLT the next day and for us to take over all of our wedding stuff to the Wedding Pavilion. I think we will still go visit WL just to see the decor. We always stay at value resorts so its pretty exciting to stay at deluxe resorts for this trip!!!! :woohoo: Thank you everyone for all of the advice!

WL. WDW bell staff will move your stuff from WL room directly to BLT room and you don't even have to be in.

WL will be great for the Xmas atmosphere and it's simple to get to MK , etc from as well.

Usually they transfer your stuff to a luggage storage room at new resort and you would have to call for it once you got to your room.(so you can tip bellman) But I just worked at a moderate resort in bell services, maybe it's different for deluxe resorts.
