Contemporary or somewhere else?

I'm thinking they're less affected by the mess but outdated themselves, haha! I don't mind outdated but clean and functional is important to me.

We can do

Contemporary Garden Wing... $450 per night
Grand Floridian outer building... $550 per night
or Poly... $678 per night

I'm still open to Beach Club because I know I would love it but we've stayed Yacht recently and would love something new!

Actually GF is $568

We have a Garden Wing room for $450 per night.
That is a good price. We have been there since June, it was nice a quiet then w/out much construction mess, so I guess I’d seriously consider what some of the more recent on-the-ground impressions have mentioned.

ooooh....BC is our favorite!!!! Much easier access to EPCOT Food & Wine Festival through the International Gateway too! You can't go wrong with the pool there, either. Stormalong bay is the best pool on property

It does seem like a good price. Do you think the construction would have bothered you when staying in the Garden Wing? We tend to stay in the parks most of the time. The cleanliess and function of the rooms is most important to me. How did you feel about the garden rooms?

We LOVED Yacht Club. I agree about the access and the pool. Amazing!! I just really want to try a MK Monorail resort! (We have stayed Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.. love them both!!)

We liked our garden view room, but I think we really liked it bc it was the deluxe room so it was bigger than a regular room and it is very close to main tower. There are only 3 deluxe rooms, so you know exactly where they are. We usually stay tower bc of location, but had no choice bc tower was closed over the summer. The one thing we’ve always disliked about the garden view rooms is that done can be a bit far from main tower. Over all the room was fine. We liked the space, had a nice lake view, etc. we kind of missed the balcony, but it wasn’t a huge deal bc we did a split stay with YC and had a lovely balcony there.

Just came back from VGF, and visited The Contemporary for a Wave breakfast. I hate to say it, but the Contemporary is a hot mess right now. No way I'd pay to stay there during the rush to finish construction by 10/1 unless Disney severely discounted the room rates. It's literally a maze of construction barriers, tarps, signs, and a lot of noise. Not to mention the occasional cursing heard in the halls by construction workers (no big deal to me, but those of you with little ones might not like hearing the f-bombs flying around).
The more f-bombs the faster it gets done! It's going to be IncredEEEbleeeeee!!!

thank you! This is just a 3 night stay so maybe it’ll be just fine!

Such a bummer.

I could switch to Grand Floridian or AKL - there's a club level room available at AKL but I don't know what that includes now.
Club Levels are opening on a rolling basis. I would be sure and check if the CL rooms will indeed provide CL services before booking. CR is to open on the 26th of this month.
