Contemporary Opinions?

Hi, we are going to be in Disney for ten days in November. We are spending eight at the Contemporary and the first and last at ASM. We are staying in the North Garden Wing. I was wondering if those of you who have stayed here, can give me your likes and dislikes about it. I am really excited about Chef Mickeys being there and the pool and arcade impress the kids. But I would appreciate it if you would share you views of the good and bad about the Contemporary. Thanks so much. I love this forum!!!

I have stayed in the South Garden recently. I found the room to be one of the most functional rooms I have visited in my travels. Plenty of counter and drawer space. The bathroon was large and the room had a big sofa and table for sitting and eating. Since we drive on our visits we carry lots of stuff to the room and I did not feel crowded.

The location is great if you plan on spending more time in MK than other parks. The one small downside is that the lobby does not have a "good" coffee stand. A counter service coffee shop is in the lobby, but the specilaty coffee was not very good. Also, I found mousekeeping very attentive and friendly.

Just got back from a stay in the NGW. I thought the rooms were nice and large, and you can't beat walking to and from the Magic Kingdom. I do tend to like the Disney resorts with a little more themeing, but I'd definitely stay at the CR again. Monorail access was nice, arcade is great, love the EWP, and the walking path to MK is GREAT. The only negatives in my mind were the lack of "themeing", and the food court is mostly burgers and fries. I'm tickled pink though that I got to stay in one of the resorts that Walt Disney himself had a hand in. I think you'll enjoy it.
