Hi, getting ready for my spring break vacation :teeth: !!! Will be staying @ the Contemporary garden room and want to be close to the pool and food court. Should I request the north or south side? Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help/information!

You going to have to decide what you want most! North wing is closer to the food court and the south wing is closer to the pool.

North wing is also closer to the walkway to Magic Kingdom.

On balance, I would go with the North Wing given a choice

There are rooms in the South Wing that have some noise factors due to being next to the passage between 7 Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake

On the plus side as noted South Wing is closer to the pool and to the beach as well

thanks

I liked the north side. We could see the fireworks from our window. Plus, it's closer to the bus stop!::yes::

Hi again, thanks for the information/tips. Are there any rooms on the south side that lead to the beach or are/is located directly off the beach?

Thanks.

The length of time it takes to walk to the MK, pools, beaches, main building from either wing is too short to measure. The North Wing is closest to the MK, yes, but not close enough to get disappointed if only South Wing room are available.

Both wings have beach access. Some rooms are closer than others. I've always loved those Wing rooms overlooking Bay lake. They're the farthest from the main bulding and common areas, but there's nothing quite like enjoying your coffee at dawn on your patio, listening to the loons and watercraft on the lake; or enjoying a nightcap with same!

So, if you reserve a wing room, request a first floor patio; second and third floor views offer standing-room-only balconies.

Has anyone stayed in a non smoking room in the North Wing? Allearsnet.com only mentions the second floor of the south wing as non smoking. I find that hard to believe.

Oh, ours was non-smoking.
I think, but I'm not sure, the entire North wing is non-smoking.
