My apologies if this has been posted about already, but I was searching for rooms for next year and saw photos for standard club level rooms at the Contemporary, and both appear to have the Incredibles theme. Does anyone have more info about this? I know that booking for CL isn't available yet, but I'm wondering if these photos are what we can expect the finished refurbishment to look like for other rooms. I've already contacted a cast member and they didn't have any info.

FYI, those photos that show up online are of a 14th floor CL room from over a decade ago, they are NOT current pics or representative of the planned room refurbs that start next month. Disney tweaked some things with available room options online several months ago, adding some room categories that were previously only available by calling. When they did that they didn’t update the photos online, which has led to some confusion.

Some Disney blog sites have pics of the test room hallway from 2019, but none of any actual rooms.

TBD what the rooms will actually look like when done.

Hope that helps!

Ahhhhh! I've never seen those before. Some kind of website glitch? Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah. To my knowledge, beyond the clickbait sites that claim “room pictures” in the headlines but only show hallway, there has been nothing saying that is what the refurb is going to be. I know Disney announced they are returning the Tower rooms (and one would assume the Garden Wing after though that has not been stated by Disney), but I have not seen where they have confirmed it will be an Incredibles theme. (Unlike the Poly where they said that inspiration would be taken from Moana from the announcement.)

So do we even know that they are still planning Incredibles??

With the photos of those hallways, I'd be surprised if it's not the Incredibles. If it's not, the only other IP that would fit with the CR is Tron. I will say that the photos of the Incredibles hallway were tastefully done. It wasn't in your face too much. I'm sure people will vary, but I like things toned down a little at the resort after being in the parks all day. Some subtle Disney touches and themes, but not a Disney commercial.

^^ Probably depends on how long Disney plans to go between refurbishments. Movies popular today will likely look outdated in 5 years. Unless there are some characters that live beyond the movie, I would expect more generic theming to avoid it looking outdated.

Big Hero 6 or Wall-E would also fit futuristic themes. Though I don’t really think “future” when I hear “Contemporary”...

I’m just saying when they announced the Poly they announced the themeing.

The lack of themeing announcement with the announcement of the Contemporary refurbs may indicate they decided not to go with whatever the test rooms looked like (which, again, we don’t know - the clickbait title makes it sound like the rooms are in there but it is just the hallway). Perhaps they did not test well.
