Contemporary Help..Please..

We are frequent flyers to WDW. Cast - me, DH, DD15, DD13. For this year's trip - we are considering Contemporary - Tower. Previous visits were to BWI, BWV, GF, WL, CSR. Last year we did Sammy Duvalls and had drinks in the lounge there. We've also been to Chef Mickeys and liked the feel of the CR.
My questions are...how is the CR overall? We saw the pool, and while not as "flashy" as some of the others, still looks nice??? How is the Tower? Any special reqeusts to make?? Also, does anyone know anything about how the construction is affecting the stay there. We will be going in Aug, 2008.

We were at CR in October and loved it. (even with the construction going on). We had a MK view (10th floor i think). Watching Wishes from your balcony was great. The walkway to MK was great . Loved the monorail. (we only visited MK and EPCOT so I don't know how the buses to other parks are--I would be a little concerned about that). The pool was nice.

Hi! We just returned last night from a split stay between the BCV and the GF. While we wer glad to have tried out some new places, we ended up walking from the MK to the Contemporary yesterday afternoon, just to get the good feeling that it gives us! We love it there. It's so convienent to walk from the MK at the end of the night when the crowds are CRAZY! And Chef Mickey's and the Concourse Steakhouse are both favorites of ours. We have never had a problem once with bus service to our from there, and we have stayed there several times. In Sept. we stayed at the Poly, and from all of the raves we had heard about it, I was thinking it would become our new favorite. Not the case, the CR is still the one for us!

DH and I LOVED the CR, the buses to DTD could be a little unpredictable but other than that it was great.
