Contemporary GW GV or BLT studio Lake view

My DS is treating me to a trip. He paid hotel, I've done airfare, rental car, memory maker KTTK tour. He's 20-- so currently we are Contemporary GW GV - which is good but I've caught him looking at BLT occasionally. I'd pay the upgrade to a studio lake view which is about $800. Pros we'd have kitchenette to eat breakfast in the room, it'd be a surprise for him.

What are pros and cons? We have no issues walking and would be happy either place. Is there normal room service in the studio? Anything that makes it special and worth changing?

I would stay put. You'll have more space in the GW room. The BLT studios are pretty small and one will have to sleep on the pull out couch. When the couch is pulled out, you can't hardly move around, it's very tight. The kitchette is nice to have but not necessary. You'll still have a fridge and coffee maker in the GW room. The only thing you'll miss is the microwave.

We love lake view BLT, we just came back this weekend from staying there. But that being said, the rooms are small and the pull out bed isn't that comfortable. I would stay where you are. We rent points so that's why we stay there, it makes it more affordable for us. Have a great time!

I'm biased toward BLT since it's my home resort. You can't beat that short walk to MK. You will still get normal room service unless you stay on DVC points.

Thanks all for the replies! Still indecisive but will probably stay put- it'll mean extra steps for me! IF he keeps looking I might change. He's working full time and taking classes this summer so I want to make extra special but could also do eating out or something!

I think you'll be happy with your change. We love BLT, but the studios are pretty small IMHO. The CR tower is great! Have a wonderful trip!
