Contemporary DVC?

From scream scape "The ongoing saga about the rumored DVC Resort wing destined to replace the North Wing took a giant step forward today when artwork for the project was discovered online at an architect firm’s website. The goof was quickly discovered it seems, but not before our spies were able to capture the images and send them to us. As you can see the new C-shaped building looks to be about as tall at the existing Contemporary structure itself with a walkway bridge to link the new DVC wing to the 4th floor of the Contemporary." The " plan " is interesting, but there are always rumors ---

I like the idea of a Monorail DVC, but I do not like the plan for a high rise.

I have to agree. I don't even like the hotel type DVC units, so a hotel type AND a high rise has less than zero interest for me!

Of course what could you expect for a new resort in that area... I mean the land in that area is at a premium, so you have to make the best use out of it as possible, which means building "up" rather than "out".

Besides, I needs to be as tall (or taller) than CR so you can get those wonderful views!

How high is it?

I think the fact that it would be within walking/monorail distance to the MK would get everyone over the high rise thing really quickly. Plus, the themeing idea behind the Contemporary is just that...contemporary. Highrise. Modern-ish or even futuristic looking. Having a cozy condo look wouldn't really fit with the themeing of that resort area...KWIM?

Plus, there may be some folks who would love that high-rise look and feel. Remember, the DVC has to design for all sorts of tastes.

I work in retail and one of my customers is a engineer for DVC and we were talking and I asked him about the rumour and he said it's no rumour. It is true and the plans are finished. It will be a 16 story building. Also he said that there are future plans for an AK DVC but he said that wasn't confirmed yet.

I don't really post this kind of info but my customer seemed very reliable.
