Contemporary: Best room/location to request

I'm asking this question about both the Contemporary and Beach Club (staying 4 days @ each).

Good News: I was able to get the deeply discounted Florida resident rate.
Bad News: This limits me to a 1st floor Garden wing room.

I'm going with my wife and 2 little ones (5 and 7). Anyone have any suggestions of a room # or location to request? I doubt they'll let me out of the wings with this rate, but I wan hoping someone had a good idea of view that was not of a parking lot...or something unique, like being close to the pool (despite not having a view).

Any ideas would be great!

we have always stayed in the garden wings and loved them!! i know i am in the minority here but i would rather stay in the wings than the tower. they are much quieter. i would highly recommend requesting the north wing. if you have a garden view you will not see the parking lot. you room will face the lake. how much of the lake you see depends on your room. we stayed all the way in the back and had a great view of the lake and water parade everynight. it was a little bit of a walk to everything but it wasn't that bad and the view more than made up for it. as for the beach club i haven't been so lucky to stay there yet have a great trip!!

Ask for a room in the North Wing. It is the side closest to the Magic Kingdom. One side faces the trees and the other side faces pool area. I read in a book to always ask for the North Wing. I stated there last year and the views were fine
