Contemporary Arcade - Game Room

I know they closed this down due to Covid - just wondering if anyone has heard anything about it reopening? As things get better I am hoping that this game room opens for our trip in August since it is a good place to cool off! Thank you

Wasn't this closed even before covid? didn't they change it to a kids club? but maybe they changed it back to an arcade.

They did close it, and did the kids club and then brought the game room back again. Sadly all of the tickets and prizes you could trade your tickets and points for didn't come back.

The Pixar Play Zone was a pilot experience that opened on April 13, 2018 to see if they could bring back the service., Initially it was in a space near the Elevators to California Grill near the Conference center space.

Then it was moved to the 4th floor in the Arcade space which was centrally located. Most of the games machines were removed but a small subset were left as part of the Pixar Play Zone pilot experience.

Guests that tried the service reported that they liked it but it did close in March 30, 2019 very quietly and the Arcade was reopened and some additional game machines were re-added but as @drquest posted above the prize tickets and prizes sadly did not return.

Thanks for the info, my kids LOVED it when it was the Pixar Play Zone, up on the 4th floor. They didn't want to leave when we came to pick them up, I thought it just closed for covid, didn't realize it was permanently gone. Thanks for the update, but wish we could do something like this again, but then again, I guess my kids are growing up and might not be interested in the kids club as much as an arcade now anyway, but it was awesome at the time!

Now I'm having flashbacks to the Fiesta Fun Center of the '80s.
