Contemporary 14th floor

Hi everyone,

This is my very first post on these boards!

We're headed back to Disney late July. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and have ressies at the Contemporary on the 14th floor -- we don't have one of the suites but I'm told there are four regular rooms on the 14th floor and that is what we have. However, kiddos are coming along too --- the younger ones will be with us -- but our oldest son and girlfriend are staying in the North wing (military). Anyway, finally to my question.... is there any problem with our son and his girlfriend (who will have their own room in the garden wing) coming up to the conceirge lounge to watch the fireworks! We've been to the Polynesian's conceirge before and they are VERY laid back about this ... just wondering if I should expect the same at the Contemporary.

Also, has anyone experienced both the Polynesian and Contemporary 14th floor ... how do they compare?

WELCOME TO THE DIS & CONGRATS on your UPCOMING 25th! You should have NO problem bringing your family with you to the CL lounge to view the fireworks (especially since they are staying at the CR, and not another resort). My DB & DW may stop by while we are there in one of the suites for a week this summer. Concierge informed me our guests would be "welcome" to visit the lounge, our suite, etc. So, relax and enjoy.
And, to answer your last question. I've stayed concierge at the Poly, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yet, I've never stayed FULL (14th) Concierge at the CR. I would expect them to be comparable. The staff at the CR is absolutely wonderful, especially the concierge I've had the pleasure of speaking with. Hope you have a memorable & magical stay! TTFN....

First of all allow me to welcome you to the Dis Boards and to congratulate you on your 25th. If you mention to the Cast Members as Dreamflight99 indicated you should be fine. You will love the 14th floor, it is filled with magical ambiance which can not be met. Make sure to walk around and enjoy all the pleasures which the 14th floor has to offer, there are so many of them. When you get there, relax, grab a snack or two from one of the many vending machines, lay back and enjoy some of life’s simple pleasures.
