Contempo Cafe - Eat there if not a hotel guest

Hi,
We be will be in Magic Kingdom June 22. We would like to eat lunch at Contempo Cafe. Since it says mobile order is only for hotel guests, are we not able to eat there?

Correct - they are only allowing guests of Contemporary to order right now.

I'm pretty sure you can still walk up and order.

The message comes and goes on mobile order, I have noticed, so an over-arching yes/no answer isn’t precise. I would try off-peak times.

I know we can’t mobile order - just curious if we can even eat there.
I called Disney but with a 60 minute wait, I’ll try again tomorrow

When we stayed there last month the notice that only guests could order from contemporary restaurants was active but no was one checking or doing anything special to enforce that from what we saw. It’s mainly to deter people using contemporary to walk to MK.

But what about those of us who want to walk FROM MK to Contempo Cafe for lunch? Will we be turned away at the entrance? Or will we be able to order there?

If you are using the walking path you won’t be turned away at the entrance to the hotel - there is no monitoring of that. When we stayed there the “hotel guests only” did pop up for mobile order. But my husband saw Michael Kay grabbing dinner there - so who knows for walk up!

Can we take the monorail to the Contemporary to eat there? I would assume yes since Chef Mickeys is open to everyone
