Contempo Cafe - Can I use dining plan?

Just booked our stay at The Contemporary Resort. I was looking around for info on the restaurants, and I believe it said that you CAN NOT use your dining plan at The Contempo Cafe??? This is the only quick service restaurant at CR is it not? I had hoped to be able to eat a quick service breakfast AT our resort for convenience then head out to the parks.

Anyone know?

Yes, you can use the dining plan there. We just stayed at BLT (our home resort) in May and many people in front of us were using their dining credits.

You can use either your QS or snack credit. They really didn't have alot of breakfast items. All I can remember is bagels, cereal, croissants and muffins. Oh, and they had some fruit also, banana's and oranges.

Unless something has changed recently, Contempo Cafe has a full breakfast menu with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, french toast etc.

I was just there last week - they do take the dining plan and they do offer full breakfast options such as eggs, sausage etc. Enjoy!

Dang, I don't know how we missed the full breakfast items. Never saw them and never saw anyone eating them either. I guess we are not very observant! LOL Oh well, we usually eat a light breakfast anyway. Will have to remember that for next time though.

They way the counter is set up, you can't really see into the kitchen that well. It's not like the other CS places where they have the warmers of food right there behind the glass. They plate everything in the kitchen and then set it on a tray to pick up. If nobody else ordered food at the kiosk and you didn't look at the kiosk yourself, it could be easy to miss.

Since the Contempo Cafe is a counter service location you can use it as a counter service credit for the Disney Dining Plan.

We loved the Contempo Cafe, Breakfast items were great, loved the breakfast burrito, easy to split between the two of us. We had the Flatbread several times, split it, and the Dolce de leche and black forest cupcake were amoung the best desserts we had at CS.

We've used the dining plan there in both 2009 and 2010.

The flat bread pizzas for lunch were great, as were the salads. I like that they have some different food options there.

Full b-fast selection as well. I liked ordering at the kiosks. That way I knew my order was correct.
