I think I was wearing them in the wrong eye. I covered an eye and could not read the computer screen. I switched them and everything looks much clearer, but now I feel out of whack, dizzyish. Is there a way to tell if they are in the right eye? They are gas permeables and the little black dot faded ages ago(they only lasted about a week on the lens!)!

Back when I wore contacts, they were tinted a very light blue so that I could see them to put the on. You could not tell they were tinted on my eyes. Maybe you could have one tinted and the other clear to tell them apart.

Mine are both tinted a very light blue just to see them too. Never thought about just doing the one!
Since I typed this I have taken them out, cleaned them, and put them back in the eye they were originally in:rolleyes: ! Maybe they were dirty or my prescription has changed and I just become aware. NOTHING I do seems right now:crazy: !

With my contacts, I have 2 different prescriptions, so if I have them in the wrong eye I sure can tell! Not sure how you can tell if both are the same....it should not make a difference.

The prescriptions are VERY different. That is what is so confusing, neither seems right in either eye  ! I think I may take them out until the morning, and try again. Must dig out the glasses:cool: !

I know when I had gas permable they told me I could them redotted at anytime. I now wear soft contacts and your problem sounds like me when i have a lot of protein build up on mine.

I got new ones once and somehow put the new one on top of the old one. Not to bright.

AHA!!! Protein build up!! I will use those Boston drops for that tonight!! I had not even thought of that. They are so easy to care for, I sometimes forget. I wish I could wear soft, too much astigmatism for that though :( ! I have lost them, broke them, worn them in the wrong eyes, and have too much protein now!! I am pathetic also Zurg!

Sounds like you need to clean them with one of the protein cleaners. I need to do that every month or so. I once got such a spot on one, I had to take it into the eye doc to have them clean them for me!

(gas permeables are too rigid to go "inside out")

Glad I wear disposables (soft)! I was confused one time if they were in the right eye, so that pair got thrown away, and I got a new pair out. I change pairs about every month (more or less).

Good luck! ;)

Thanks guys:D ! They are soaking in the protein stuff right now. If that does not work I will have to take them or me to the Dr.! Dh wears soft and I am envious that he can toss and replace so easily.

I wear soft disposables and have put them in the wrong eye but the worst is inside out-ouch ouch ouch!
