Contacting a specific restaurant?

Unfortunately 3 of the 4 members of our dining party were sick after dinner Sunday night. We don't have medical confirmation that it was food poisoning but it seems to be the likely culprit.

Would the general guest services email be the one to use or is there a way to contact specific restaurants?

Oh how terrible. I hope that everyone recovered quickly.
That is a good question, though. I would like to know this as well just in case something like that happens to us on our trip (and I really hope that it doesn't).

Where did you eat and what did everyone eat that made them sick?

You could maybe call dining & ask them for that resturant's phone number. I have to do this before I go due to allergies. Which place was it if you don't mind me asking might have the number ;) Sorry you got sick not a fun way to spend it at Disney especially eating their food :sad2:

I would think I would start with guest services....but that is just me and if I did not think they were listening, maybe move on to the restaurant and hopefully get in touch with someone in the kitchen... Maybe it is something that they are repeatedly using and are not aware.. I too wonder which restaurant... If it is inside the parks, it might be easier through guest services, at a resort, you might do better calling the resort, but I would follow through on this.

Thanks - I was hesitant to name the restaurant because I'm not 100% certain what happened but since people asked it was the outdoor Cantina at Mexico. Specifically the nachos. We live in the Orlando area and have shared the nachos previously without incident.

I will contact guest services and see if I get any response from then before going to the restaurant directly...3 of the 4 people who shared the nachos were hit with vomiting which seems suspicious to me. The 4th person (my DH) didn't feel well but he's a guy who could eat 2 week old spoiled milk and not be bothered.

Worst case, I'll speak to the restaurant directly when I'm back at WDW in 2 weeks.

I also wanted to add that we eat at WDW a lot and this is the 1st time that anything like this has happened. We've also eaten this specific dish several times w/out incident. I believe on the whole Disney takes food safety very seriously and this was just a fluke thing. I just emailed guest services to let them know.

i gotfood poisoning on my second to last day in WDWwhen iwent with a school trip. my room mate and I were both vomiting all day in our room it was terrible :( we didnt eat at the cantina but i think it was from hollywood and vine where we all had dinner the night before :/

Whateveer you ate that made you sick was likely something 12-24 hours before you actually got sick. Just keep in min when trying to find the culprit!

It was almost 8 hours after eating the nachos. That is the only thing that the 3 of us had in common. The other 2 was an employee of DH's and his son who we ran into at Epcot. We bumped into them at the Cantina where they nibbled off our order of nachos. The son had a churro too but the dad didn't have any other food.

I originally heard about it from the employee's sister in law who is a good friend of mine. I mentioned to her that *I* got sick and she told me the other 2 had also been ill Sunday night. DH then talked to his employee.

We all feel it was food related because once the food was gone (so to speak) we all felt much better.

Perhaps it was Montazuma's revenge! :lmao: Alright, I know, having food poisoning is NOT a good thing. I did have this happen to me in Mexico. I was sick for hours. Not pleasant.
