Hi All,

It's that time of the year again where I need to order new sets of contacts. Where do you find the best deals? I purchased mine last year from Walmart, which were not too bad of a deal, but thought. I should double check with you all :)

Thanks,
V

We always order our contacts from 1800contacts. They price match so do your homework before ordering.

My daughters eye doctor price matches so I always order thru them, but I found the best deal on hers last year from lens.com

I buy contacts for Myself , DH, DS14 and DD11. So, have to get the best prices. I never buy them from our Eye Dr. - way to expensive. I used to buy them from Walmart/1800 Contacts but now when I need contacts I just google the brand I need and you will get all different types of pricing show up. I look to see if there is a minimum and how much shipping to figure out the best deal. Just ordered some last week for my son Opti-Contacts.com before that I used Visiondirect.com as you got 25% off for 1st order (and they send 20% off reorders from time to time). I just fax or email my prescription to them and I get contacts within a week. I ordered my DS's on Monday and they are to be delivered today. So, it pays to do a little research.

Just ordered 24 boxes of contacts from Vision Direct and was very happy with them. 8 boxes of Acuvue Oasys for me, DS, and DD cost me $460 so around $19 per box. Costco and Sams had the same for $25.83 per box. They had 25% off for first time order and free shipping. Check retailmenot.com for other "coupons" that might work for you. There are also rebates for some contacts so be sure to search for them.

We 've also gotten the best prices with Vision Direct. I get a percentage back from Upromise, there are often codes on the Upromise site and they also price match if you find a better deal elsewhere.

Was just thinking about posting this same question as my vision blurs. Filled last set through walmart/1800contacts. Just got ready to place refil and it's over $100 for the 6 months. But then again, I have bad astigmatism.

So, thank you for asking.

I wear 30 day lens. America's Best has a plan where you pay $99 and you get 3 years worth of eye exams included. The neat part? They give two eye exams per year. Since after an exe exam they always give you a set of contacts, that takes care of two months. My insurance plan (VSP) takes care of about six months worth. That only leaves me four months to pay for out of pocket.

The last time I ordered contacts they were cheapest through VisionDirect.com. The sad part is, it would have cost me more to use my insurance! But keeping an eye on this thread as I have to get knew contacts this year. I have a serious astigmatism so prices are not cheap!
