To anyone who has driven to WDW lately. We leave in 3 days for WDW and will be taking 77 south to I-95. When we picked up our trip tik from AAA it looks like there is a lot of construction once we get into Florida. Was it really bad driving? Any tips that could help!! Thanks.

No, not really.

The construction is some road work before Jacksonville with no apparent delays, I10 at I95 for bridge work, again no apparent delays, I95 at I295 for the flyover construction - that is actually getting better. I95 down near Daytona has road and bridge widening, most is behind Jersey barriers and seems to be OK, the lanes are a little narrow at the bridge projects but still passable at 65mph.

I4 had bridge work at exit 118, road widening between exit 114 to 111 and bridge and road work before Universal around exit 80 (I think)

Seems there has been I-95 construction in Florida for the last twenty years!!!
ON our last trips, there have been construction "zones" all over I-95 in Florida--but with very little actual work being done when we drive through.
Should add that the 95/295 construction in Jacksonville was a REAL MESS the last trip. We always took 295 around Jacksonville, as 95 is a horrible hiway thru the city. But the construction where 295 and 95 meet up is even worse, so last trip we bit the bullet and took 95. Harrowing, but we made it. Only Interstate I know of where you almost have to stop and make a left turn to stay on 95. Very dangerous, especially to tourists who don't really expect it.
