Construction at GCH affecting stay?

We are going to stay at GCH Oct 19-23 and I just realized that they are having construction there for the new villas they are building. Does anyone know what rooms are affected and if there is a lot of construction pounding? We have three small kids (6,4, 15 months) and are staying in a one bedroom suite (so a little in sticker shock right now!) and want to make sure construction will not be an issue if I have to give the 15 month old a nap.

Bump - I have the same question. We are staying in a 1 bdrm suite the week of Sept 21 with 2 kiddos that will need naps and I'm curious about the construction! Yes, we are in sticker shock too but with a baby it is best to stay so close at GCH right??

We were there two weeks ago. The construction is not in the GC; it is across the way.

As for noise, I remember hearing a bit when we had our sliding door open. When it was shut, we heard nothing. Our room faced the pools, so we could see the construction from our balcony.

I don't think you need to worry about kids napping. You'll love staying there...sticker shock be darned!

Do they work at night too or just regular daytime hours?

When we were there a few weeks ago, we had a 1bdroom suite on 4th floor..no noise, unless we were out on porch.. nothing at nite..it did not effect nap times either!!
