In general, no. I mean of course I believe there are things the government does that we aren't privy to, but I don't think there are mass conspiracies.

I think most people can't keep their own mouths shut long enough to have pulled off ANY of the popular conspiracies: Kennedy, Moon Landing, 911, etc... Someone would have opened their mouth to a friend, family member, bartender. In my opinion, no way can that many people keep a secret.

Exactly. Especially with the Kennedy assassinations. All Joseph Kennedy's past history certainly complicated things, but if his past "associates" were going to kill his sons, they would have done it long before JFK even ran for President.

I'm not sure if I necessarily believe in the moon-landing conspiracy, but there are definitely some points to it that make me wonder.

When I first heard about this years ago (back in the 1980s) I thought oh puleeze. But after doing a lot of reading and seeing some of the programs on tv about it, hmmm I'm not so sure that we really did land on the moon. Many scientists say there's no way we had the technology back then, and even now. It's got getting there and back, it had something to do with radiation(?) that we had no technology to protect the craft against. Of course other scientists refute that, but no one can show scientific evidence that the craft was made of impenetrable material. Unless the Roswell aliens left technology that we used?? And why haven't we gone back? Because later presidents said they don't want to be involved with the lying crap, they already have too much lying to keep track of.

I used to think this, too, but after hearing about "men in black" visiting people who were witnesses to the missile hitting the pentagon, I realized the government can be very, uh, intimidating enough for people to keep their mouths shut. I know that a few witnesses have "mysteriously" died, one in a car accident, another by "suicide".

Roswell? Many military people who were there and are now elderly have started speaking out, but the government has made them look like fools. Wonder why? The son of one of these military guys wrote a book about what his father told him on his deathbed, complete with names, dates, details etc, very seemingly convincing information, and suddenly there appeared a document from a psychiatrist who wrote that he treated the son for schizophrenia. The son swears up and down that he isn't schizophrenic, was never treated for schizophrenia and has no idea who the psychiatrist is. Guess what, when he hired a detective to find this elusive doctor, the doctor had just died and so could give no testimony. I believe the government created this false medical record to discredit the guy.

Kennedy assassination? No idea. I never looked into that.

Me, too. What's interesting is that one of the doctors who kept her supplied with drugs was a former military doctor. I'm thinking he was still on the govt payroll and they wanted to keep her daffy, but then they were afraid she'd spill A LOT of beans (and not about the affairs), so they cancelled her.

Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory is one of my favourite TV shows, if that gives you any idea. HAARP and the New World Order are my favourites.

My Dad got to witness the taping of one of the episodes and it was such a joke! He said that Ventura is completely out of his mind and twists the words of everything people say. He also gets clearence to go to places but pretends he doesn't so it looks more suspicious.

I think what we have been told about JFK is not true, but I don't know if the government pulled it off or if they just covered it up. I feel like they just wanted to close the books on it and not be bothered by it anymore so they told us the easiest thing they could come up with. I think it's probably most possible that the mob did it. But who knows.

Honestly, I've never really read up enough on Area 51 to come to a conclusion on it's trueness.

I don't believe the moon landing was staged.

Someone mentioned it so Ill comment, I do believe in Global warming but I am someone else who doesn't know for sure about man's role. I don't believe we are contributing to it as much as some say and I don't think we can really prevent it at this point. It's real, but its a natural thing.

One of my favorite things to discuss with friends. Yes I believe in a few. Definitely believe 9/11 was more to it and possibly us govt involvement. Also the flight 800 now that someone mentioned it. Jfk as well. Im sure theres more.

The movie "wag the dog" with dustin hoffman is a hoot if you are into conspiracy theories.

"Wag thee Dog" is not the best conspiracy theory movie. Check out the original version of "The Manchurian Candidate". It has an eerie similarity to the 2008 election....

Nope, I don't believe in any conspiracy theories. I find most of them have been created out of a need to find answers, and to fuel people's paranoia. My at-risk students believe in every conspiracy theory out there, and it is very problematic for us, as some of them are emotionally unstable because of it, and it just fuels a greater sense of paranoia and cynicism in them. Certain topics are basically off-limits, as I have some students who are highly anxious when speaking about them.

As we get older, we should realize that there are some things/events, for which we will never have answers to, and that is ok.

Yes, they're proud of 9/11 in the Middle East, because they hate our freedoms. And some stuff went down. But that doesn't mean that they were responsible for 9/11. They're just rejoicing in the fact that we got our stuff handed to us.

I *have* watched the documentaries, and I *have* done the research.

The laws of physics do not lie. There is no possible way that the towers could have fallen at the speed they did without additional energy (usually in the form of explosives) to eliminate the structural resistance of the lower floors of the towers. It is simply not possible for the twin towers and building seven to fall to the ground how they did without additional energy provided. Any person who has taken high school physics, let alone any advanced physics course, could not reasonably assume that the towers could have fallen at that speed without some additional energy provided. Building Seven (which was not hit by an airliner), fell at nearly free-fall speed, which defies the laws of physics, if it wasn't for additional energy provided.

Due to these simple incontrovertible facts, the official story cannot possibly be true. There are many physicists, pilots, architects, and scholars who have proven scientifically (empirically) that the official story cannot possibly be true. If you choose to believe the official story, that is your choice, but for others, perhaps more open-minded, there is significant evidence to at least lean to the contrary. The official story has, on many occasions, been proven inaccurate and impossible. If you cannot at least open your eyes to the possibility that there is more to the story, then I hope that you may choose to do more thorough research into the subject.
