My dad was recruited out of law school to work with Jim Garrison on the case. He would never talk about it with us either as kids or as adults. Dad did not want to put us in harm's way. He did recommend reading Dr Mary's Monkey but he said there's more to it. It was kind of a shame that as a new lawyer ready to save the world, he was exposed to gov't conspiracies. After that case, he left the DA's office for private practice.

Yes, I'm not certain of any in particular, but I think we're easy to fool as a big group. Area 51 is not one of the type that gets me, but I can easily believe that there are a small number of very wealthy and powerful people secretly pulling the strings behind world governments...or maybe not...but it's possible. You get the idea.

I guess it's more of a need for there to be an explanation (or blame) for some tragic events.

I don't believe what we were told about 9/11. I think there's more to the story. I also think Bin Ladin died shortly after 9/11 and this body being chucked into the ocean wasn't him. Area 51 is a possibility too. I have a different take on the stuff going on in Israel too and think US is pumping too much money into tht country. Its kind of funny that Obama is talking about all this debt and at the same time sending Billions into Israel to buy high tech weapons when its not his battle or his business.

i do believe there was a JFK conspiracy. i've seen the films more times than i care to count, and i'll never believe it happened like we've always been told. i also don't believe LHO had the skills necessary to make the shot.
i also believe there was more to 9/11, but i'm sure we'll never know the whole story.

I agree with you! So many independant witnesses saw a missile, then the story changed so quickly -- It's always seemed a little hinky.

I'm not sure if I necessarily believe in the moon-landing conspiracy, but there are definitely some points to it that make me wonder.

One of my favorite things to discuss with friends. Yes I believe in a few. Definitely believe 9/11 was more to it and possibly us govt involvement. Also the flight 800 now that someone mentioned it. Jfk as well. Im sure theres more.

The movie "wag the dog" with dustin hoffman is a hoot if you are into conspiracy theories.

For the most part I do not believe in conspiracy theories. I do know that government keeps things secret from us, they cover a lot of things up, they do covert things and our secret guys go on missions around the world.

I don't think there was a conspiracy about the killing of JFK. I do however think that Lee Harvey Oswald did kill the president himself, but I think whoever hired him was doing in retaliation for the Bay of Pigs and JFK sending those guys to Cuba. I think that is why Jack Ruby shot LHO real quick to shut him up so he wouldn't tell it all to the authorities.

I don't think there was any government conspiracy involving 9/11. It is public knowledge that the government had been given warnings of possible impending terrorist attacks but not what the specific attacks would be. I do not think Osama Bin Laden died shortly after 9/11. I am not even sure they killed him last month considering they won't show anybody the pictures of his dead body and they very quickly dumped his body out to sea instead of letting all the victim's families of 9/11 see his dead body for themselves.

I think Area 51 is just a very top secret military testing facility and that there were never alien lifeforms on our planet. I have never understood why people have ever thought that the government knows about aliens and keeps it secret. What would be the point in keeping that secret?

I think most of the real conspiracies that go on out there we, as normal, average citizens never know about because it is all top level confidential government stuff that people don't talk about.

I think most people can't keep their own mouths shut long enough to have pulled off ANY of the popular conspiracies: Kennedy, Moon Landing, 911, etc... Someone would have opened their mouth to a friend, family member, bartender. In my opinion, no way can that many people keep a secret.
