Conspiracy Theory: Has the jackpot Bingo ever go before the last night?

OK, I am just curious, because when I played bingo on our cruise, it was on the second day of the cruise, they say the Jackpot "could go at any time".... but it gets bigger if it doesn't hit, so by the last night, when it is guaranteed to hit, it is substantial.

Well, I think it is rigged so it does NOT hit before the last night. I could not help but notice, during my game, they hardly called any I's. Pretty hard to hit a cover all bingo if you don't callout at least the 5 number's required under one of the letter's.

I thought it was interesting.

It isn't rigged .... just not very probable when they call that few numbers. Just statistics. And it's the same on ALL cruise lines. On my 20+ no one has won before the final "call them all" bingo session. But they all say that it might go at any time. Sure ... and I'll win Mega Millions this week.

A few years ago a friend of mine picked up a gook on Bingo. The book was geared towards organizations running Bingo games. The odds are well calculated so what most Jackpot style games do is play a game where the odds are highly against anyone winning the Jackpot, so that the Jackpot will roll over and grow bigger, building more interest in the game etc.

That is pretty much what the cruise-lines do. It is possible to win the Jackpot prior to the last night, but highly unlikely. As the Jackpot grows, interest in Bingo grows and attendance grows.
