We have a consignment sale that comes to town twice a year (February and fall). It's a little early this year (mid-August) but this might be to help them avoid hurricane season. A few years ago the sale was the same time as Hurricane Florence and they stayed open with shortened hours (we're inland but were still impacted). I'm sure part of the reason is to try to avoid our normal hurricane times.
They've opened registration early, knowing people are at home and decluttering and going through items. I am going to start sorting through things on the weekend so it'll be ready (I'm normally printing and tagging the night tagging closes). I went ahead and signed up to volunteer a few shifts- enough to get me 80% back of what I sale. This is after my PIF date for our cruise, but it'll be extra money to put towards debt or for other trip expenses (card that it will go on, dog boarding, etc...).
