Hi, c4241. A concierge level room can vary between hotels. The best concierge rooms I have seen are on property at WDW.
The only WDW concierge level room that I have stayed at was the Polynesian, so everything I say will pertain to that.
Guests have access to breakfast stuff, snacks, food, soft drinks, beer, wine cordials etc throughout different times of the day. You can gather in the lounge and enjoy the offerings, or take them to your room. They really do offer a ton of food.
Concierge is kind of like your own personal trip helper. They will make priority seating arrangements, give turn down service, and that sort of thing. At the Poly, you don't even need to go to the front desk for check-in. There is a concierge desk(s) on the bottom floor of that building that checks you in, as you sit in a comfy chair. They are basically there to provide you with very high level service.
The rooms themselves are not any different, except the view. The Poly has Garden View, or Lagoon View. Our room literally had a TV commercial quality view. If you sat on our balcony, you had a straight on view of Cinderella Castle across the lagoon.
As far as cost goes, yes, they are more expensive. Much more. The Lagoon Views are even more than that.
Is it worth the extra bucks? That depends on who you ask.
Concierge is available at all WDW Deluxe Resorts.
I hope that helps explain it. There may be some slight differences at other WDW resorts.
Have fun!...
