We've stayed onsite, deluxe..we've stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek twice. I am now considering Windsor Hills. There are 5-6 of us, my FIL is undecided.. We will rent a car obviously. We like WBC, but are ready to try something different. I like the Disney kid rooms I've seen and would like to have one of those. There are alot of sites and I'm not sure where to start or how much I should expect to pay. We will be visiting in October. Thanks!

We've stayed at WH twice now and we're going back in a couple weeks. We've rented thru Vacation Central Florida all three times. You may find condos and townhouses that are furnished more luxuriously than theirs but we think they're fine. And their prices are really good. They decorate the whole unit with Disney touches but we don't think it's overdone. They usually have some framed Disney prints in every room, Mickey knobs on the kitchen cabinets, and some plastic Disney character dishes and cups for the kids. They always have one bedroom for the kids with twin beds and full-out Disney decor - bedspreads, pillows, lamps, etc. So far we've stayed in a 2 br condo and 3 br condo and our trip in a couple weeks we'll be staying in one of the 3 br townhouses for the first time. Their website is vacationcentralflorida.com.

Hey, be sure to give us a review of the townhouses when you come back. We are staying in one this Christmas.

We rented a townhouse with splash pool about 4 years ago. With a summer rate of $99/night, it couldn't be beat. The bedrooms were decent sizes and all had tv's. We were fine with the location and the main pool is nice. We timed it one morning to the Contemporary -- 11 minutes.

We would not hesitate to do WH again.

We have stayed at Windor Palms (which is a sister community to Windsor Hills) and absolutely loved it. We stay in a 3 bedroom condo and the 'kids' room is done is a really cute Disney motif. DH & I both agree that we feel we can get to the parks faster from the condo then we ever did waiting for the Disney buses.

We have also stayed on property several times and I can honestly tell you that I don't think we will go on-property again unless it's a special occasion.

We booked the condo we stay at using www.vrbo.com.

Windsor Palms doesn't have elevators though, right? In the condo buildings, I mean.

We rented our 3 BR townhouse through http://www.storytimeorlandorental.com. They have 4 3BR townhouses and 2 6BR villas in Windsor Hills. Typically, in the townhouses they have 1 BR with twin beds that is completely decorated in a Disney theme, the Master BR has a king bed, the 3rd BR has a queen bed, and there is a queen sleeper sofa in the great room. All BRs have their own bathroom.

I haven't been yet, but am already starting to plan my 2013 vacation and staying at a Windsor Hills house through All Stars Vacation Homes. What attracted us mostly is the home-theater rooms. There will be 10 of us, 5 adults and 5 children of which 3 are toddlers so we expect to be spending the nights at home with the kiddies and the home-theater seems to be our best entertainment for our quiet time (aka when the kids finally go to sleep and we can have a glass of wine and relax). These homes also have private pools with spas! Dream come true for us. Anyway, I heard about them through these boards so I know I can't go wrong. You can see exactly what the cost is by plugging in your dates online and it instantly gives you a quote. HTH!:thumbsup2

We used Allstar vacation homes before for WH and had no problems with them. This xmas we are using a different company for WH because it was cheaper.

I'm curious, what different company are you using that is cheaper? Do they still have the same type of homes? This is my first time doing this so I'd appreciate any input I can get. TIA:thumbsup2

we stayed at wh last feb and going again in jan i prefer to rent from owners..i just use the wh website plug in dats and get a ton of responses..some guys will really work with you..we did otterspool townhouse..now we need pool home..but i just wanted to remind the people from all star homes that all ears gives a $175.00 discount on her website if u mention her..ive seen 10% off them and palm tree vacations also..always use discount...

We used Vacation Resorts By Owner. They have hundreds of options. They put you directly in touch with the owner. We loved our condo so much last year that I just contacted the owner directly this year and he gave me a discount for being a returning renter. (I assume they have to pay a fee if the transaction goes through VBRO.)
