Considering renting a house

I should add, I too was a bit concerned not because of UK "people" but being so far away, a different country, I was just a little unsure. I was a tad concerned with sending a deposit and how exactly to deal with any unforeseen problems with owners so far away. Boy was I silly. All my concerns went out the window the minute we drove up to the home. The owners were extremely nice, helpful and caring. Very responsive. The whole thing was done via email and went off without a hitch. Another reason I will continue renting a house when we go. I just can't say enough about what a pefect experience the whole trip was. My best friend being from the UK, my wife a former employee of British Airways and a wonderful holiday there a few years back, of course the concern wasn't with UK "people". I would have had the same concerns had the owners lived more than a thousand miles away in ANY direction. If you haven't rented a home near Disney yet, try it. I'll bet a box of Krispy Kreme's you'll really enjoy it. Oh, another reason to rent a house, you'll be that much closer to Krispy Kreme !

*(Disclaimer - box of Krispy Kremes offered above in bet may not be a full box at time of delivery. For that matter, it may just be an empty box. If the box still smells like the former contents, I may just eat the box too...)

Well, Steve, we come over, fall in love with the place and its citizens and get sucked in! :worship: I haven't succumbed yet, but I'd love to - I'm just waiting for the day I can do it without all the hassles of having to rent out.

Renting a vacation home is the only way to go. You have the privacy, your own pool and because you can cook your own meals it's cheaper. We rented a home in Indian Wells that was 5 minutes away from Disney. Our neighbour worked at Epcot and he was very helpful. We rented through Advantage Homes by Styles(it's now called Resort Quest Orlando).
