Do you know when Christmas decorations are put up in Disneyland? I've been to Disneyland a couple of times in February and April but never in November or December so I'd like to plan our trip when it will be decorated when possible. Thanks!

yes--they usually go up the week before thanksgiving--you will also be able to enjoy the haunted mansion makeover to nightmare before christmas which is fabulous and the small world holiday makeover which is truly awesome.

you will be very glad you visited during that time.

HI,
We are going the first week of Dec. The reason is we were told my many people on this site and then I called Disney and I also called a travel agent and had her check. I was told they won't be ready for Christmas till the day after thanksgiving. They will get it done in 24 hours. But not before Thanksgiving. I might be wrong but I did try really hard to find out. So before you book maybe you could check a little more.
have a nice day,
Thatmom

The decorations were up on Nov 10 in 2002. That was our first day and everything was already changed over.

I don't know if that was unusual or not for the decorations to be up that early.

I know they "tranform" the parks at WDW overnight. But they have been up well before Thanksgiving (as soon as day after Halloween) at Disneyland.

Last year the decorations were up and ready by November 8th. In 2001, about 75% were up a little before that and same thing for 2000. This year, you can pretty much bank that they will be up the same weekend as it will also begin Small World Holiday and Believe In Holiday Magic Fireworks.
THe ONLY thing that doesn't begin until Thanksgiving week is THe Christmas Fantasy Parade.
Anytime after the first full weekend of November, and you'll be fine.

I have to totally disagree with your TA!!!!!!

We were there last November from the 7th to 11th and the park was decorated and beautiful!!! The characters were in costume and the holiday food was on the menu's and the cookies decorated stations were out. The beginning of November mid November is a WONDERFUL time to go. The weather is usually good(last year though it rained 1.2 the time, no biggie the parks were emptier!)there crowds are light and the decorations are out!! The first week or two of December is usually really good too!!!
