Considering BLT Resale Purchase

So you are in ROF for those CCV ( under refurb? ) …and you plan to “ easily” “resell those points in a year?
Where do you find it easy & quick to sell points …
The list are really long and not moving !
Not even the small 50 point contracts. Sell quickly anymore.
Somebody broke up a 50 point contract at time of purchase to create 3 very small low points to resell just recently.
2 went fast! On the DVC resale market many are desperately lowering points or offering a bonus with their resaleAndstill not moving !
Good luck I notice you use a different resale company and they are selling fast . What company ?

If you are looking for ways to enjoy your stay at MCO Hyatt,
The new Terminal has a new Disney Store and new 2 level Universal Store that is 2 level Store plus many walk up bar/ seatings and different new restaurants !
Definitely worth visiting

I think I noticed that location offers short 4 hour stays whenever available .
I imagine $$$ to cover housekeeping .

Good luck Did you consider this?
To be clear, I'm not planning to sell it. I'm quite happy to have the extra points, and should I decide at some point I want to sell it, I can be patient and wait for the right time. But, I think the price at which I got this makes it a much lower risk and lower sunk cost deal. I think a lot of listings are not moving very fast because they are either overpriced or pretty stripped contracts with delayed closings. If I had to sell this contract after one year, I wouldn't have to sell it stripped or at an inflated price - again, not planning to do it, but I think it made this a very good deal for SAP.

And thank you for the MCO recommendations!

Just to add to my last post, I see a listing on the site sponsor website right now. There is a contract that is pretty similar to the one I got - different UY, but similar in terms of the points that are banked/stripped (I won't get into details of any specific listings). Their list price is $24 pp more than the contract I purchased! That is just bonkers to me. One thing that has become clear to me is that the site sponsor is not the best place to find a deal (if you're a buyer). Now, if you're a seller, well maybe not such a bad place to list! Haha.

I do love the site sponsor and so much of the content they put out - I mean, the amount they spend on marketing probably benefits not just themselves but other brokers too. It seems like every DVC/Disney podcast I discover is sponsored by them.

I’m sorry I thought your post mentioned buying CCV instead of BLT and value would be only $8 a point when you resell in a year after using those CCV points

I’m checking out the sponsor site now.
Do like the Blog but I don’t see Sales , just rentals
I’ll keep exploring … oh they do use DVCResaleMarket

I did buy CCV. Using what I think are pretty conservative assumptions, by my math, if I were to use next year's points, resell in a year at a very competitive price (without the contract being stripped), and taking account of the costs associated with selling, it would be essentially as if I purchased the points I used for about $8 pp. Again, not planning to do that, but I basically ran the numbers that way to see just how good the deal was.

Don't be deterred by others statements. I track and follow listings at my home resorts very closely. Yes some CCV dont sell at $150pp, but on the other hand some do sell at that price point, some sell for $10 less per point. If you aren't following and tracking you don't know what has sold vs what is still left to be sold. I cant tell you how many times I have seen a listing from the board sponsor and I laughed out loud at the firm price. I track it and its sells. Not everyone is privy to the info we are here on the boards and most people pay much more than anyone here. I personally wouldn't buy from the board sponsor because I am a deal hunter and I know what others sometimes pay vs vast majority of the buyers they have, I can say I would 100% sell with them because they move contracts and they move them at great prices for sellers. If you got it $24pp lower you are doing amazing and will be so happy. I am THRILLED w/ my CCV purchase. Ive owned it just about a year (June 2024) and I have gotten 68.4% back on its purchase price already and today I could sell it for more than I paid. I cant say that about all of my other contracts.
