Considering Add on..Questions

Ok...I am thinking of an add on in the 50-100 point range. I believe the current $84ish rate is still in place, but what points come with that? Does 2005, would I be able to bank them-and when would I have to use them by? We have Feb yu...should we consider other yu? Anything I am not considering? I really want to buy through Disney since I think this is a good deal...I would love to do 150 pts at BC or BWV but I think that is a little out of our price range. Has anyone recently done an add on at either of these resorts...and what was the price per point? Thanks (we are current SSR owners)

For less than 120 pointsm the price is still $98 (there may still be an incentive discount, but not the 15% incentive). Resorts other than SSR are available thru DVC at $92 per point.

You could buy however many you wanted (minimum of 25, I think), since you wouldn't get the incentive for BCV or BWV no matter how many you bought. You could only get the 15% off if you were adding on at SSR.

Minimum purchase at any resort is 25 points. With a direct purchase you will always get current points and will have your same Use Year. If your Use Year is March and purchase now, you will get the March '05 points and another allotment on March 1, 2006. DVC will normally allow you to bank the add-on points if desired.

With a resale, you might be able to get banked points from 2004, but will only get any points that are unused in the contract.

You'd have two home resorts. You could use the 11 month booking window for BCV only for those points attributed to BCV. But, you could bank/borrow to stretch out your points.

We bought in November, and at that time we were told they furthest they could go back was June 05 points.

That might have been because there were no Jan-May yu avail at the time.
