Considering a VERY last minute trip

Considering heading down 4/16 and leaving 4/19. Now just need to decide if we will take the kids. I know it will be super crowded. I think crowds are fine if it's just DH and I, I think it would be harder with the kids (4 and 7). And this would be a budget trip, so they would make it more pricey too.

Thoughts?

The Dobies REALLY REALLY like short, cheap, adult only trips.

I found a place to stay already. I just feel bad/guilty not taking the kids. But I'm just expecting that we wouldn't be able to do as many rides and that would make things more frustrating for the kids.

We have a week trip planned in June and at the end of November which the kids would be on of course.

Personally, I couldn't imagine going on a trip to Disneyland without my girls. Last year, I went to a conference at the WDW resort and it included an evening at the MK for the group. I was walking down Main Street, saw the castle and literally began to cry since my girls weren't there.

Well we are now talking about taking the kids. I know busy, but how busy are we talking here? Miserable?

If you can get away with it, I'd say skip bringing the kids. You hit it dead on when you said crowds with just the 2 of you were workable and could still be enjoyable. Crowds are hit and miss, but since you're traveling, it's not like you can say we're going home if it's miserable. I'm OC and that is the start of our Spring Break.

Get there early, collect FPs ~ take advantage of SR lines *are the girls tall enough for Indy?? If not for sure SR that. I'm guessing you're AP holders... if so treat a non MM day like a MM day ~ head straight to PP, followed by Dumbo and so on.

this is probably not the most popular answer.. but here goes...

Since it is going to be a "budget trip", and you have 2 trips coming up this year, why not save that money for a couple splurges on your upcoming trips. Especially with all the construction going on right now, and the crowd levels.
