OH NO A TYPO!!!!!

k...anybody who quoted me MUST go back and correct "contitutional"...i've corrected my post and you've GOT to correct it too!!!!

PUT IN AN S (in the same manner that we'll be putting an "s" in the white house on 1/20).

there is a possibility i'll never watch t.v. again. although, this might be a good diet plan...turn on the t.v. and vomit my way to skinniness.

As much as I hate to vomit.... it'd be worth it if I could then.:thumbsup2 Over and over and over and over and over......

This poll is for the CONSERVATIVES only, no lurking libs please.

Who is planning on watching the inauguration?

My TV will be off that day.

I have to work Tuesday......actually moving offices to schwanky new downtown digs........my commute is going to suck eggs......but the view is going to be spectacular.....

I will probably TIVO it and watch it later with the wife/ kids.....and fast forward through all the talking  ......if he really wants to impress me, he will honor the memory of Abraham Lincoln by keeping his speech as short as the Gettysburg address.......

In truth, I am not anti-Obama at all (I just like to watch the "true believers" twitch when I question the wisdom of their devotion).....hehe

Well that, and after 8 years of crud talkin' over a sitting president......I figure it is my turn to take a few swipes at authority figures.....

got a few on my list......

Dodd
Franks
Pelosi
Reid

Obama is not on my enemies list.... I hope the day never comes where a sitting President is on my enemies list......that would be a bad day...

Uh, no. I'll watch something else. Something uplifting and not puke-inducing...like The Patriot. Or Passion of the Christ. :rolleyes1
Or maybe The Omen.

When I'm right, I'm right...:lmao:
She wasn't "damaged" until the media persisted in viciously attacking her and her family. They're still attacking her. I don't know why they can't let her alone. :confused3

They know they can't leave her alone. She is a threat and stands in opposition to them.

I pick her over them.

oh to be samantha stevens, so that a simple twitch of the nose would render him absolutely speechless.:wizard:

We can dream, right?;)

I agree. I reallly like her (that's no surprise to you guys!) Maybe because she wasn't new on the scene to me. I've been watching and following her from her days as Mayor of Wasilla.

A part of me gets frustrated when I hear she needs to 'lay low' mainly because of the image the media created of her. In a way, then, the media won, and that is very frustrating to me. If anything, Gov. Palin is feisty, and she won't just back down.

Verdict: Good speech. I liked it.

He kept to his message, same thing he's been saying for the past 8 years.

At one point he did seem a little defeated, but I think the end was (dare I say it?) filled with hope. And promise for tomorrow. He expressed the faith he has in his country and said the proudest title he has ever had will always be with him "Citizen of the United States." And I liked it. Also never said he had a bad day. He had "tough days." Liked it too.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I agree.:thumbsup2 Oh man, there is a certain someone who could use a drool towel right now, as he is literally foaming at the mouth after watching the speech.:lmao: Honestly, so much of their hatred towards Bush is the fact that he is at peace with himself, and they want him to crawl into a corner with a heavy heart and curl up and die.

:thumbsup2 I hate I missed it. He's one good man, even if he wasn't the best president ever.

Agreed. Just commented on that post. Can't believe how much of a hate fest is going on just because some people think it's tacky to write an open letter...

No words :( I tried to find them but failed :sad2:

Funny thing is, the only people who give a flying fig about their hate fest are the haters themselves. You know, the same haters who lurk here to see what we are saying, because I guess they can't come up with an original thought among themselves to keep themselves amused.:)

:thumbsup2 Exactly. Aren't they supposed to be mooning over HHO on their thread? Appears to be more and more conservative hating/bashing with them than anything else now.:sad2:

Guess that mentally unstable article was on the money!;)

Ok ok...so I'm going to try and sneak this in here and mayyyybe no one will notice, but then at some point I can reference this and say, hey remember that one time I did mention it... I've got mixed feelings on Palin. I mean, there's part of me that really likes her, but I really don't think she should run in 2012. I think there's a lot of other really strong Republicans. I like her in general, and I liked her as a VP candidate, but I don't feel strongly for her being the Pres candidate. And honestly, doesn't she have a state to run?? Why has she been doing all these interviews lately? :rolleyes1

Well now… our country did just elect Barack Obama and she does (despite all that the liberals try to ignore) have a heck of a lot more accomplishments under her belt than he currently does. So if he’s good enough to be President of the United States…….

Actually, I agree. I love Palin. She’s a genuine person who believes in hard work and actually goes out and accomplishes things. However, I don’t want her running for President in 2012. I want her to move into the US Senate next. I want her to gain some legislative experience and I think she’d be good there. We need more people like her there. Later in her life, maybe she’d be an excellent candidate to run for POTUS.

Seriously, she was the good thing about the McCain campaign; I wasn’t thrilled in having to vote for him until she came on board. If I was going to have to vote for a moderate Dem (ahem) I still rather vote for Hillary Clinton (yup) over John McCain.

About the interviews, I don't think she has much of a choice. She's still too much of a public interest. My co-worker reads cnn.com a lot (don’t know why) and says they’re always pulling in stuff on Palin; no matter how insignificant. Really, all the lib’s on there just go off on a serious bash fest in the comment section; but CNN wouldn’t be doing that if there wasn’t still a genuine interest in Palin.

Wow, completely and shamelessly contrived. Ick.

Well. I admit to lurking on the lib thread yesterday. I don't do that very often, but I did yesterday. It was intentional to post that letter on the main board to see how fast a conservative would bash it. What I find to be funny is that the first person to be “snarky” over there was a Democrat who confessed to voting for, and liking, Obama. While that poster was called out for being “snarky”, it was blatantly ignored that poster was a Obama supporter.

But, yes, that letter was very contrived. It wasn’t written for his daughters, it was written as a publicity stunt…. Just like his “prayer” at the Wailing Wall was released to the media and just how his “private” reflection at the Lincoln Memorial was made public to the media.

OK.. read a bit more of that thread now. It was only started to get us to bash the letter so that they could bash us. It’s sad actually. Oh, and they apparently want yet another opportunity to bash Pailn, why else would she have been brought up?

See? This is why Palin is still doing interviews; she’s still to high in demand to be able to be left alone in Alaska. As long as she’s in demand the left will continue to bash her and spread lies about her – she needs to be able to speak up for herself.

Oh. And she’s not a whiner. She went through the entire election taking that abuse and kept her mouth shut. A guy wants to do a documentary about everything and she has an opportunity to finally tell her side of the story and she’s a whiner? Pleeease.

fidiots. i'd prefer to see drilling further away from national monuments too, but there is no way to call this racist without finishing the statement by saying, "NOT!"

this implies that the only people who are poor are of a particular race. that is pure ignorance.

Everyone became so accustomed of falsely crying racism throughout the election and not getting called on it – they don’t care that this has nothing to do with racism. If I lived in the area I’d show up with a sign stating that Obama is also against drilling and ask them if they’re going to protest Obama at the White House next week, after he moves in.

And yes, they are basically stating that only black people are poor and live in inner city slums. They, like I’m noticing a lot of people (mainly those that profess to be liberal), don’t actually think before they speak.

1. "stylish"...she is more masculine than the pres. elect and she walks like a monster.

2. i'll fall on the floor laughing if they have painted velvet paintings of themselves with elvis.

Oh, I just saw a book at the store titled: Michelle Obama First Lady of Hope.

One, if they were going to call her First Lady in the title, they should have waited until she actually receives that title next week before releasing the book

Two, has anyone yet figured out exactly the Obama's definition of 'hope' because he's never made it clear. He just says the word 'hope' and his followers begin screaming, crying and fainting. No wonder he hasn't had to define 'hope' yet.
