I got a memo today that Tuesday is dress up like you're going to a very important party day so we all can celebrate the Inauguration of BO as the best event that has ever happened.

That's all I have to say about that.

i'd wear my worst P.J.s, robe, torn up slippers, and put rollers in my hair. no make-up.

- I booked a family WDW vacation for May using the "buy 4/get 7" incentive. We'll be staying at POFQ, which I know zero about but I'm sure it'll be great.

Welcome back! I think you and your family will love POFQ! The beignets are yummy, the scenery is pretty, the resort is small so everything is close, it's a nice walk along the river to PO Riverside, and a quick boatride to DTD.

What is a beignets? Sounds yummy...

Beignets are French Market donuts -- basically dough that is fried and puffs up to have a hollow center. You sprinkle them with powdered sugar and eat (or in my case, inhale...love me some beignets). They are a little slice of heaven imho.

Yes, you can walk back and forth between POR and POFQ, and the boat stops at both resorts to and from DTD!

Ya'll are making me hungry with this talk of beignets.

Found the recipe.

Ingredients



1 pack dry yeast
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
7 cups flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tsp Salt
1 cup undiluted evaporated milk
1/4 cup soft shortening oil, for frying
Confectioner's sugar

Method


In a large bowl, sprinkle yeast over water, stir to dissolve. Add sugar, salt, eggs, and milk. Blend with rotary beater. Add 4 cups of the flour. Cover and chill overnight. Roll out on floured board to 1/8" thickness. Cut into 2 1/2" squares. Deep fry at 360 degrees 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle heavily with confectioner's sugar. Makes about 5 dozen.

NOTE: Dough keeps well in refrigerator for several days. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and punch down occassionally.

Even if we are not staying at POFQ, we make sure to do a beignet run and stop in for a quick treat of hot beignets.

Hi guys! I don't have the whole story but what is up with this Tim Geither not paying taxes? What are these people thinking he can't figure out his own taxes and he is going to head treasury? I just don't understand? I just don't.

My daughter and I got the recipe from another site several years ago and made them. It was the first and last time. Some things are just better when somebody else puts all that effort into them, and you can just enjoy the fresh and warm results of their hard work.
