fascists!

:scared1: The horror!!!!!!!

I know right! :scared:

My boyfriend is org from there. We were walking around a Target and he lets out with, "I love Target." Which is an usually bold statement for him, so I started teasing him a bit and he goes, "but you don't understand, we don't have Targets in Vermont."

Me: "Oh don't be silly, I'm sure you just had to drive a bit to get to one."

Him: "Seriously. None."

Me: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

We have a super center here in my college town- and TWO back in my hometown. Target refuses to put in a store where I live so I have to drive thirty minutes to go to one.:headache:

I've been meaning to show you guys this for like forever- this is my MySpace background (no one can see my actual profile, it's on private)-

And this is at the very top of my profile-

Like I said, no one can see this on my actual profile because it's set to private and I have to approve my friends before adding them.:goodvibes I just thought I'd share with you guys- I am a sick twisted WDW freak (listeners of Glenn's show will get the whole sick twisted freak thing...), quite obviously.:yay:

So what else is up cons??popcorn::

That is really cool!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Did you know there's no Target's in Vermont??

No Targets in VT? That's just sick and wrong on so many levels!!!! :scared1: :scared:

Soarin', I'm pretty sure you're on my myspace friends list. I could see it if I wanted.

We 'just' got a Target here a few months ago....still trying to get used it.

Ironically enough, I live in the very middle of a large city - where are all the Targets and Walmarts? In the 'burbs - at least 30 minutes away. Go figure. I do love the little neighborhood Walmart just down the road from work but dread going to the humongo supercenter Walmart just down the other road from work - blek! Just give me a computer - I can do plenty of wonderful shopping then.

Thank you :goodvibes . I really appreciate that. I'm sure that dh wouldn't mind watching the kiddos for a couple of hours, so that I can head to the library. At least, I hope he won't mind.

As hard as undergrad was, grad school was a different kind of hard because I was so distracted by my full-time job and life in general. I hope you can cut yourself some slack - and not just in school. One thing in grad school was learning and using the word 'no.' I love that word - 'will you help with our children's program at church?' NO 'are you free to babysit?' NO 'can you serve on this committee?' NO, NO, and once again, NO.

Unfortunately, I let too many people know that I had graduated so I've gotten sucked into some things over the past few years but I do say that lovely word more often than I used to.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all of those beginning their semesters - it's a rough go but well worth the trouble. You'll be so glad you pulled through.

Soarin', I'm pretty sure you're on my myspace friends list. I could see it if I wanted.
I am???:confused3 I'll have to look and see..... I've gotten so many new friends over the past few weeks I can't keep track.

Ohhhh yeahhhh.... found ya!!!!;)

Soooo after Two and a Half Men I turned on The Bachelor. Such a bad idea. I'm so going to be sucked in for the season :sad2:

Haha...I went to a school that was so conservative that I was liberal!! :rotfl:

Wow, it's hard to imagine. My school is pretty liberal for a Christian school, but it's still pretty Republican. I've heard of some doozies, though.

I know! I went from HS where I was normally the lone dissenting voice on the conservative side, to college where I was the lone dissenting voice on the liberal side and I was just like wait a minute...what's wrong with this picture. But I went to a very conservative school. While we agreed on economic issues for the most part, it was the social issues. I found that I was much more likely to be accepting of others and the people I was discussing things with couldn't even see the other side. It was very interesting to say the least.

I thank the Lord every day that I'm not that Conservative. I know several people who are, and it's like talking to a brick wall.

WOW. These are amazing! Too bad I don't use Myspace anymore. I would be stealing these from you.

Have both MySpace & Facebook, but rarely use MySpace. I get too many creepers. I mean seriously, it says "In a Relationship" you ain't gettin any. :sad2: So I've just given up on that. I don't get the creepers on Facebook, so I stick with that. I have friends on MySpace though that don't have Facebook, so I keep it around. E-mail is totally over-rated :rolleyes1

Yeah, I know what you mean. Though I've never had any creepers on MySpace of FB bother me....

Don't know if you guys want it or not, but I have the link to the blog where I'll be posting all my CP stuff for you all to read.:goodvibes PM me for the link (I'm not posting on the boards... if I know you really well on here, you get the link).

:thumbsup2 LOVE Target! :cloud9:
Me too.

I would most likely use high school students or folks in a public college. My college leans Republican, so I might not get an accurate sample. Then again, if I do both PBA and another public college, that would balance out.

I am hoping to do a statistical thing, because that's what I need to make for my assessment class.
I'd love to read it. Can't wait for you to get started. ;)

AMEN!!!

Target is my happy place. :goodvibes
Me too.

Has anyone here ever notice just how hateful that other bunch is? Just wondering.
Really? I hadn't noticed....:rotfl:

Ahem...:hippie:
I'm a fiscal and social conservative. Want to know my position on something just ask. And I think you'll find that I'm not a brick wall...I listen. :surfweb:

You don't?? Darn.... I love MySpace. Facebook too, but I use MySpace more.:hippie:

Yeah, I'm a Facebook person myself. Ya'll want to be friends? :grouphug:

I was talking about those who don't listen and will not understand, hear, or tolerate the other point of view. Sarah Palin's as conservative as you can be and I love her. I guess I just chose my words poorly. My bad. :headache:

I'm a social and fiscal conservative as well. :cool1:

Yay!!! I'll send you a PM with my info. If anyone else wants to be friend on Facebook, send me a PM. I'm always looking for a few good men (or women).
That works!! And while I'm at it, I'll send you the link to the CP blog I've set up. ;)
