Hello and Happy New Year Cons!

Happy New Year, DisCons! While anticipating next week's trip to WDW, I am mulling over some new directions I hope to take in the new year. I dislike "resolutions" because they seem so easily broken. So I'll settle for some new directions in life. For 2009 and beyond I plan to...

1) Be more conscientious about monitoring my blood sugar levels
2) Increase my weekly workout time by 30%
3) Reduce my daily calorie intake by 15%
4) Pray more -specifically asking God for help with patience and perspective
5) Plan something grand and extravagantly romantic for DW

I especially like number 5. You're a good hubby.

Charade - I want to cry looking at that statement. Ugh.

Thursday will be DH's and my 15th anniversary. Guess what we are doing? NOTHING. I wish we could go away and spend time together, but DH has to work at a boat show downstate. He's a rep for one of the boat companies in his spare time. So, I'll be hanging out downstate with the kids while he's working on our anniversary weekend. Oh well. Maybe we'll go away for our 20th?

I need to get him a gift, but we are very low on cash. Any ideas? (I know this isn't DisCon related, but I figured you all wouldn't care).

Don't. Say. Snow. I've had it. I'm DONE. It's 31* right now. I'm not even looking outside. My kids are going to school on Monday, come h*ll or high water. Or snow. Seriously. They are driving me bat snot.

Tink I know how you feel. We are paying over $3 a gal for propane here. We just had a fill . You should call your gas company, here they will come in your house and do a walk through of stuff you can do to save energy. They did it for a FM of ours. One of the things they did was insulate her windows with something, maybe it was caulk. She said she saw a big difference in her bill. Oh - and they did it for FREE!

We rent, not own, so we're not allowed to do anything to the house.

Which reminds me- guess what I bought on DVD at Books-A-Million yesterday? Unelectable. It somehow found its way into my hand and into a bag after being paid for and then into my house! Don't ask me how that happened... I'm going to watch it in a few.

It gets cut off in the middle of the third line on my computer screen, but I can pull up your profile and see the whole thing from there.

That's totally weird because I swear, the entire thing is visible to me.

I think it depends on the width of the screen. For example, the last 2 pics of Glenn go to the next line on mine. I think that ends up pushing the rest down below the 250 max allowed in sigs.

Well my screen is 15'' so it's pretty big. I have no clue....

My parents bought my sister a car today. 2004 VW Beetle. She pretty much demanded that particular car, while I took what I could get. They had to go to Memphis to get it.

Ahhhhh, no. Decidedly not. It is 35* and raining here. THIS is normal western Washington winter. Absolutely miserable, but I'll take it over 12" of snow any day!

Crazy, I'm several hours north of you, Soarin', and we're getting the same weather that DD is, only with clouds - lots of clouds...

Tomorrow, we'll get a taste of what y'all have had today - 50s with rain [I like that kind of weather, unless I'm out in it]

Yep, it was cold this morning....(at least in the house)
We slept with all the windows open and it was about 65 in the house.... Brrr

I slept late this morning.... (I got up at 630)
I keep forgetting to post that I used to live in Bartlett TN
I worked at the Chick FIL A across form the Wolfchase Mall and I also worked at The Disney Store at the mall.
My DS worked in ths shoe dept at Sears at the mall
So maybe I've all ready meet you Debbieandroo
I cant keep up with all the replies like I would like, but I do read every day and pray for all of us
