Leave it to you to speak the words of wisdom Zip. Sometimes the things they say just really.... I think you guys know what I'm trying to say. I'm guilty of lashing back in defense of myself or someone else- I just hate to see them get away with nasty comments. Though I need to learn to just consider the source and , and thus proceed on with whatever else I am doing.

It goes back to my poker-playing days. It was then that I learned that if you look hard enough you can see someone's ulterior motive coming from a mile away.

Yup, I'll be in the parks for a couple of days the week of 1/5. I do hope the heat wave lasts; I like it hot in FL. Well, not end-of-summer hot, but 80's are nice.

Well good because it was at least 80 every day we were there! But you know, it wasn't extraordinarily crowded.... we were like "Where IS everyone?" Most of the buses were nearly empty all day and so were the parking lots.... no huge crowds to fight anywhere! It was more crowded when we were there in June!

That's great for you guys, but kind of weird that it would be relatively uncrowded over Christmas. I was reading over on the TPAS forum and at another site that crowds were strong as ever.

At any rate, I'm glad you and your family had a good trip and are back home safely. Now I guess it's time to pack up your gear and move there, huh?

You must remember that there are some people who have a keen interest in seeing this thread closed. Not all liberals are like this but some are. For whatever reason they don't like the collegiality we have, in some demented way perceiving it to be a threat. Many of those childish posts that insult signatures (and other such things) are meant to draw some of us into making comments that will earn points.
I'm not saying how anyone should or shouldn't respond, but just keep in mind that some posts are designed to bring out the worst in us.

It worked. I never feed the trolls but today I was ticked off enough to say something.

I've never seen such sore winners before in my life. It's really strange.

It was strange. Even MK wasn't total gang-busters (though my 8yo bro was so mad, Space Mountain maintained a 90 minute wait nearly all day and we never got a chance to ride.... though we rode the TTA three times so that made up for it ). Oh yes- three weeks!!!!!!!!

I love how this is the last thing I read before bed. Now that thing will be in my dreams.

Heads-up to Humphrey Bear, I stole every single picture in your signature. You knew I was going to anyways, I'm sure.... they're now safely saved on my laptop. So as soon as you post again, give me a as to whether or not I can use them in my signature (after my countdown runs out I'm redoing it again).

Of course it's okay to use them! The picture of him in his NRA shirt and at the podium arefrom when we saw him live in Akron for his Unelectable tour last summer. I didn't take them, someone at Glenn's site posted them, but I was there in the second row.

Us Glenn Beck fans need to stick together since seeing his pics in a signature seem to twist some Libs knickers into knots. Sorry you got treated the way that you did on the other thread. I guess that I can 'Hope for Change' in their hearts when it comes to dealing with Conservatives that are reaching out to them. It seems like some on the left think that change only means our side has to change while they keep puttering along acting the same as always with one sided intolerance.

I am looking forward to hearing more about your trip as I have to live vicariously through you and others since it will be about a year until we get back to WDW.

i'd guess it is about 60 miles, but that doesn't account for the weirdly traffic, so it would depend on the day and the time. if you'd be good with a 9 p.m. to midnight visit, you'd be okay, but the traffic is so very....sucky. still, it is closer than i am (i'm in northern california), and you'll likely visit much more than i can, which is a couple or three times per year. i think you'll probably qualify for a southern california pass too! (discounted)

That sounds wonderful! A law school schedule would never allow a part-time job, but maybe during the summers I could get my feet wet as a DL cm. My dream would be to work at DL's mansion, so I can be a vet of both coasts!

I think the main difference between them getting infractions vs us is that they hunt out and report as many of our posts as they possibly can, while we just take the higher road and ignore theirs. They won't get infractions unless a post is reported, and I think there's a handful of them that are doing little more than going on a witch hunt in that aspect.

That's what I figured, and I almost suggested we do the same until I realized that would mean unnecessary work, annoyance, and even anger on our part to prove a point. Let the witches do the hunting while we simply call their double-standard.

Second, a lighter topic. Does anyone here remember the Jungle Jim's restaurant that used to be in the Crossroads shopping center across from Downtown Disney? It was a tradition when I was a child to go to JJ's every Disney trip, and it became a regular establishment that I customed as I grew older. When I was a Jungle Cruise skipper, JJ's used to give free beer to skippers that would stand on the bar and do their jungle spiels (they did not have to be family-friendly, either!). I was too young (17) at the time to participate, sadly. Anyway, JJ's closed a couple of years ago. Last night, I was with some family and friends, and, as we reminisced about those times, we decided to cook our favorite JJ meals! Since the bar drinks were closely guarded recipes, we enjoyed Kungalooshes, only to remember that the AC is closed, too. It was a depressingly fun evening!

Jungle Jim's is closed?!?!?!?!?! That was my favorite place to go when I stayed off property. The last I heard of it was that it was attracting gang activity, and then nothing. First Dixie Stampede and now this.

Ugh. I'm sorry to say I think this is true. I don't believe in reporting these people, mostly because they don't offend me. Their attempts to get us points are just amusing. However, if it's not the other way around, I might change my mind. Grrr.

I guess I'll just keep "respectfully disagreeing" until they get frustrated and give up.

First, some business. I have received an infraction for responding to an unsympathetic lurker (the anti-Bush drinking post), and since I was not allowed to reply to the Moderator's private message, I will post my reply here:



We have been forewarned! Makes me wonder if the liberal threads ever get infractions? Heck, I will probably get an infraction for being "argumentative/sarcastic" with the moderator!

It is a badge of honor.......wear it as you would a Purple Heart and try very hard to dodge the next salvo......as eventually.....youcould be put out of action.

I got some points yesterday also.......(2nd Amendment related). I speak my mind and it comes from the heart. I am happy to take any "lumps" that come with it.

I am certain the Hope-itarian Change-mentalists take their lumps also. I have noticed a definite thinning out of the more strident voices over time.
