i have 4 kids. 5 and 6 yr old boys, a old daughter, and Jacob. many of my wreaths are on my craft blog- http://www.allthingscrafty.blogspot.com

I never make 2 the same so each one is different. The baby wreaths are my most popular- much nicer than the cheaply made generic things in hospital gift shops. I make them to match the nursery decor/theme.

Soarin be careful if you have to drive in it today. People won't be used to it and there will be finder binders. :goodvibes

Those wreaths are lovely. I especially liked the pooh one for a nursery. The seasonal wreaths are awesome as well.

Oh my WORD JB - I'm over on your craft blog and oh my...you are one talented lady. I absolutely love the Pooh bear wreath you have. Adorable!

I'm going to get off my butt now and get some work done. I have a sale on Saturday and I need to price down my inventory and get some displays going.

Have a great day everyone - and enjoy that snow Soarin!

You guys will get a laugh out of this. Santa came by today (the firemen bring him around on the firetruck) and DD went out to talk to him.

She has been saying she was going to ask for either an Ipod (the little pink one) or a wii. OK so I have the Wii because they are hard to find. Then DH gets the Ipod because he saw it at Best Buy over the weekend. We know we won't keep both but we think we are so smart being ready and all. Yes, you have guessed it I bet! She goes up to Santa and says, "I want the big house for my Little Pets." :rotfl:

So I guess I get to return on Friday. Unless DH claims the Wii for himself he has been dieing to "make sure it works".

Kids! At least we'll save a lot of money!

:thumbsup2 That's awesome! We just dodged the Biscuit bullet with our daughter. She's been torn between three things, but Biscuit's been in the number one slot until a couple nights ago. Whew! Close one. If I spend close to $200 on a dog, I'm getting the real thing.

bo...bho....boho....I think I might have found a new nickname..... Almost, reminds me of bozo...boohoo....;)

:rotfl:

depends on the definition of "is".

:rotfl:

Who's lips are moving? :teeth:

:rotfl:

My husband made me fall in love with him all over again today. I was telling him how much the kids and I enjoyed buying presents for two kids from the giving tree at the Y last week, and he asked me if the tree was empty (all the childrens' tags gone). I didn't know. He told me to go back and find out, and if it isn't empty, to make it empty and use his card. We are temporarily using separate checking accounts because it is easier than trying to manage a single checkbook when we are not in the same country. I have a debit card for his account, though, which is what he was referring to. My husband has eleven siblings. He knows what it is like to not have much, and knows that he was fortunate to have what they did just the same. I think he, like me, is just feeling really blessed to be able to help others this year. Anyhow, I thought it was so darn sweet of him.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Want some rum? pirate:

Your DH sounds like a great man :thumbsup2 :goodvibes . Oh and about the rum....always! :teeth:

These things are not mutually exclusive. ;) They are, however, mutually nasty. I'll stick with my rum thank you very much. LOL

Don't forget about your everclear! :scared: :rotfl2:

I call Shennanigans on the "tradition" of using all three names

"Jimmy" Carter

Ronald (Doesn't use middle name) Reagan (long vid-at 5:40)

I don't care if H wants to use his middle name. Heck, it means it's fair game now and his disciples can't cry about it anymore. But please, just say "I want to use my middle name" don't cite "Tradition" when it's obviously not.

:thumbsup2

Wow.
It's supposed to snow here Sunday. We'll see.

So snowing in southern Louisiana. Global warming? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Now, now....perception vs. reality. :teacher: The correct term for it nowadays is Climate Change :lmao:

Good morning! I hope you all don't mind my just popping in like this. I have been reading here for a long time, we live in Central Florida and we just LOVE the Magic Kingdom!!! I get a lot of great info, but have never posted before. I had to wait until my DH could take a look at the site first before I joined. He's really not all that into the internet, and has issues about the stuff that's out there-he thinks it's all porn! :lmao: Anyway, he was kind of ok about this site because it's mostly Disney talk.

We both really liked this thread-hope ya don't mind that I've already stolen some of your great recipes?? He was also really glad to see so many good Christians here. We're both Baptists-I was born again at 14, he was a "late bloomer" at 17!!

Sadly, God has not seen fit to bless us with children. However, we've accepted that as His will and we volunteer our time with Sunday School.

Sorry for such a long post, but I do want to thank you for all your encouraging and helpful posts! There's so much to worry about these days, it's nice to find a place with prayerful folks!

Welcome, mkingdomlvr!

I believe the PC term is climate change. The truthful name is bullspit. :thumbsup2

DH says that it is the height of human arrogance to think that we have any control over the climate of the Earth!

"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness therof". He alone decides what the climate is going to do!

Now, having said that, we do believe strongly in being good stewards of Creation. We traded in our larger car on a smaller one and we do take our newspapers and magazines to the Church recycling bin. God did grant humans dominion over the Earth, so we do have a responsibility to treat it well.

Precisely. :goodvibes

breezy, you don't want to see a bull spit. It's not a pretty picture. LOL

welcome!!! we always have good food on hand. We need the energy to keep up the good fight!:thumbsup2

oh...have any of you gone out to see Glenn Beck at a book signing? I'm thinking of heading out to the one in Irving tonight, but curious about the crowds....

I'd say that is a tag-worthy statement :P

Here's a link to my craft blog which is not as "complete" as it should be, but there are only so many hours in a day....

http://allthingscrafty.blogspot.com

I do other crafts besides quilting, that is just my favorite (and most expensive).

I'd love to see some of your pictures of stuff you've made. I always get inspired by other's work....maybe you'll give me some ideas for finishing up a couple of my projects. Here is the one I'm most stumped on, and the one I'd like to finish the most. It is the Pledge of Allegiance, and I would like to make it a wall hanging for my dining room, which, when I get the chance to actually decorate it, will be in old Americana style:
IM000843.jpg

I love this!!! Maybe add some colonial style blocks and sashing to enlarge? My friend and I were out shopping yesterday and went to a few country stores. One of them had some antique quilts, but she had them in an outside shed-type structure! I was like, "that is ridiculous"! She had a sign up to please not touch the few crazy quilts she had displayed because they were fragile, yet here she has them almost exposed to the elements. Crazy!

I'm in the process of incorporating counted cross stitch works into quilts. One is a Halloween sampler, and then I have many Christmas scenes, as well as "country" scenes that my mom had made me. They are framed and hanging on my walls, but I thought they would be really pretty worked into wall hangings. I've never designed anything like this before, but it is alot of fun. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get back to them until after Christmas, as I'm just too busy doing other crafty things right now, like digi-scrapping holiday presents!

I SOOOOOO want to learn digital scrapbooking....I am a total photoshop failure. I can usually pick up a new software program easily but I just can't seem to get this one down.

Got any good tips or tutorials? I really really want to learn how to do this so I can put some of my pictures and stuff to use, and spiffy up my blogs.
