Who says that Christmas shopping has to be hard this year, with beauties like these just a click away?

What old movie are you going to watch? (You know how I love those old black-and-whites!) My daughter and I are watching "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" today.

oooo.....I love that one!

I recorded a bunch from a while back -- so maybe one of them. hmmmm, or maybe I'll just see what TCM has to offer today...

Oh, all my con friends -- TCM is doing a month of family movies during December which will include lots of old Disney stuff -- Swiss Family Robinson, the original Jungle Book, etc.....there's also a documentary about Disney [I think] in a couple of weeks...

Can y'all tell I really like that channel?

Aren't they just so cute when they are trying to :stir:

Sorrry, just saw Ted on Meet the Press this morning and was reminded of how very LIBERAL he is. I really thought conservatives were pretty true to their group in who they supported, where they spent their money and time. Lots of people don't know about Ted because he's rich and they assume he's conservative.

BREAKING NEWS: Some conservatives have family members and/or friends who are liberals!!!:scared1: Oh the horror! ;)

Known he was liberal for years. Unlike those on the left, some of us can see past a person politics and enjoy their music, acting, products, etc. Nice try though. Do you guys PM each other to get a group together before you do these drive byes? Just wondered because none of you ever seem to come alone.

Yes, because one of them accidentally PM'ed me once.:lmao: It was the most hysterical thing ever!!:rotfl2:

Speaking of old movies, (although not that old) watching a great Christmas movie - Yippee Ki Ya Mother...I mean Die Hard :lmao:

For the record…

Turner Classic Movies and all of the Turner Broadcasting Co. merged with Time Warner sometime in the late 1990s. Turner was on the board for a time, but I don't believe he is anymore. I think we can safely watch the TCM network and maintain our Conservative bona fides, particularly if we cleanse ourselves in between with healthy doses of the Fox News Channel. You know, we just gotta watch the old movies, what with their love of God and country, their shameless promotion of Christmas, and their undying respect for the American soldier and American exceptionalism. One just can't find that coming out of Hollywood anymore.

I'm in a movie watching mood myself this weekend. Still not feeling good...spending my time with herbal cold tea, my laptop and watching movies.

What The Heck, I've seen Die Hard another time or two the past couple weeks while I've been sick too. It's playing on Starz...is that what you're watching?

Right now I'm watching Four Wedding and a Funeral. Whats'erface kinda gets on my nerves, but nothing else was grabbing me.

Agree...:thumbsup2 ...I have always loved the old movies...

By the way, can I just say that some of you guys posting pictures of your guns and discussing the laws in your states for concealed carry, etc., just warms my heart to no end. Thank God — and I mean Thank God — that there are still people in this country who think their freedom is worth protecting. And Thank God our forefathers had the wisdom to put gun rights in the Constitution! My dad used to say, "The first thing a dictator does is take away everyone's guns. Don't ever forget that." I never have. I'm so glad to see that many of you have not, as well. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I have a good friend, he's a die-hard liberal, and he has a concealed carry permit, hunts, etc. He says it's the "big area" he disagrees with his party on, can't understand why they want to leave the protection of their families to others. Yeah, I guess that's why we're friends…:rotfl:

Anyway, carry on!

I have a big time Lib friend (no less than four different H signs in his yard during the campaign) who hunts and owns multiple firearms. He even hunts with (the horror!) an AK-47 (with five round mag, only two rounds loaded... the second one being a mercy round). He likes to get close to the deer and won't hunt from a stand. He likes the penetration of the 7.62X39 round because his property is brushy.

I don't really care that he owns TCM or used to own it or whatever. It's better than the tripe that comes out of Hollyweird now. Besides, he didn't make the movies. I love Tom Hanks. He's a liberal. But he's an awesome actor.
What to do, what to do. :confused3
:lmao:

Here, lurkers. Have some lasagna!

And perhaps a drink?

Hmmmm an AK-47. Hmmmm. Nah. Ain't no way the spouse is going to along with any "story" I make up about needing one of those bad boys.:lmao:

Well, this is a little hard to conceal but I could (with my permit) if I wanted to.

I liked that one. This weekend, DD & I went to see Twilight. But, we also got to watch Hancock and Game Play at my grandmother's. I liked both of them. Of course, that was after watching the Razorbacks get behind after a huge lead, and then come back and win in the last 21 seconds. :cheer2:
