Hi, everyone!!!!

I've not been on in a couple of days. Bad migraine :headache: . Nice meds plus phenergan via iv :thumbsup2 . I did get a nice birthday dinner today. We found a great little steak restaurant that even has s'mores. We are claiming it's my 29th birthday! So what if it's anniversaries :rolleyes1

Wow, I guess I have a lot of reading to do.... :surfweb:
Happy b-day! :wizard: And glad you're feeling better. I get migraines once in a while. They were really bad in college. I'm doing a lot better these days.

SD - I did read it, but I'm not that familiar with Boehner. I need to read more. I'm not sure of what he stands for at all, nor am I sure of if it's possible to get him removed.
The problem with Boehner is he's presided over the House Repubs for the past almost 3 years and he has been unable to articulate a conservative vision, he's lost over 20% of his caucus in that time, and there are plenty of others in the house more conservative than him. My interpretation of him and his style is he'd rather not make waves with the opposition if possible. He wants to get along and sing Kumbaya (see the bailout mess). We need an opposition leader, not a Yes Man. I'm afraid he'll be a Yes Man in the months ahead. :sad2:

Well...that will teach me. I venture out and come back with a 10 point infraction. :headache:
NADF, please just stay in here or read and don't post. Remember what I and others said earlier: Don't let it get to you, ignore it all. Something funky is up tonight, and it's best just to let it be and carry on about our business. We have a great thread and conservative fam here, and I don't want to see anyone get in trouble. :grouphug:

Nooooo!!!!!!

 Stay here.

I was just on the RSC site [http://rsc.hensarling.house.gov/] - it mentions that Price [from GA] is chairman now. What happened to Pence? I thought he was a shoo-in :confused3

I'm guessing things will head south much sooner than that.

BTW - off topic here, but congratulations on finishing a 1/2 marathon!! What an accomplishment!!

I think things may head south before that but I'm guessing people will not see through him until about then.

And Thanks, I am not a runner so it was quite an accomplishment for me! My DH just finsihed an Ironman (Louisville--140.6 miles) so that makes my 13.1 seem like a jog in the park!;) Actually, I am thinking about trying it again in 2010! However, I'm just thinking right now!

I just gleaned this from another thread. This is evidently how they see themselves...we are the party of peace, love, and understanding...quote unquote. Anyone else not seein' it?

Did the thread that wasn't calling me out poof? I don't see it anymore. Bummer. It wasn't bothering me any. I considered my statement to be a Cinderella statement; if the shoe fits wear it and if not then it really doesn't concern you. :confused3

Happy Birthday MFD!! I hope the migraine is GONE!

Michelle, click the link under the Snoopy pic. It has the song and the lyrics. I inherited the 45 as a kid from my uncle. MY dad's side of the family is the ww1/wwII model plane/flying side of the family.

I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony...

Join in with me!

Must make a correction here ---

unless you DROVE those 13 miles, you ARE a runner....

and I hate you for it...and times ten for that superhuman husband of yours!

*looking for chocolate RIGHT NOW*

:lmao: :rotfl2: Yeah, and if we don't like what you're saying, then we'll label it as racist. Oh, but please ignore our sexist attitudes, because that's acceptable. We can't help it if we're gleeful. :rotfl:

buckalew... AWESOME! You ARE a runner! I haven't ran over four miles at once since 1979!

*looking at my posts they look crazy.. the coke song was for the OS, the snoopy song is under the snoopy pic.. they are NOT the same. LOLOL

I'm going to make some hot chocolate. Shall I make enough for the room?

 Nope, didn't drive but I promise if you saw me me you would not think "runner", haha. Of course, most people do not look at DH and think runner either but 15 hours and 36 mins. later, he was an Ironman. :) Hey debbie, his nephew is living in Memphis right now, going to grad school!

I had never run 4 miles in my life, LOL! I had a short training period because my dad died in novemeber before the Jan. race. The most I ran before doing doing the 1/2 was 8 miles. DH says, "If you can do 8, you can do 10. If you can do..." He's a regular Pollyanna.

Us girlies on the Con thread should give each other one of these for Christmas....

A Pretty In Mink Calendar - photos of our fave con babes all dressed up in...FUR!

Here's a pic just for Breezy --

:sad1: I'll pass. To a point (i.e. not to a significant detriment to humans), I'm an animal rights activist. I thus don't wear fur.

Maybe it wasn't updated? Pence was voted in unanimously last Wednesday. :confused3

Very impressive! Running has never been my forte. :lmao:

I ran CC in jr high. My children still laugh at this fact. I had to show them pictures because they didn't believe me!

Maybe when my lungs are cleared of old smoke residue I can start walking.. then maybe think about a mile. Sure would take the weight off, thtough I'm not so sure someone at my weight should be running at all! OK>. walking! *need a treadmill or I'll make the ice as an excuse*

I think the confusion stems from a misspelling. They are the party who would like our understanding that they lie awake at night dreaming of how they would love to get a piece of anyone who doesn't agree with their agenda and shake it violently back and forth in their mouths like a pit bull (which they want banned because they can't stand competition) until we are shredded to unrecognizeable bits. Is it more clear now?

Yes please. :) I'm having coffee and cherry pie right now, but cocoa would be lovely. Durn and blast the calories.

In case any of you are avoiding the latest Palin bashing thread for fear of being lured into a potential points-earning situation, I wanna share the pics I posted there with you guys. My cousin took these in Alaska two winters ago when he was fishing (commercial). They were running a 24 hour crew rotation cracking ice off the boat to keep it from sinking. I believe it is about a 70 foot boat (I've been on it, but I'm not positive about the length). They would go from one end to the other, and by the time they reached the bow, the stern looked like this again. :scared1:
