Hi everyone, This is my last sign on before we leave for WDW in the morning. :cool1:  :cool1:

Planned Parenthood gift cards? Absolutely disgusting!

I finished the Christmas Sweater yesterday. I got the audio book and listened to it in a day. I liked it but....Spoiler Alert, (Highlight to read), I had Heard on the radio that it was a true story. Although I'm glad it wasn't true in the end, I was disappointed because it now seemed like a big lie) Call me crazy. :upsidedow

Hey! Say hi to my boss. He just left us an email that he's leaving tomorrow too!

Hmm... are you my boss?

Heard a cute blonde joke this morning.......for all you "blondes".

Dolly Parton was asked if she was offended by blonde jokes.

(to which she replied)

"Heck no, I know I'm not dumb.

And............

I ALSO know I'm NOT blonde." :scared1: :lmao: ;)

:lmao: I love her.

Another great line by Dolly "It costs a lot to look this cheap"

Gotta love Dolly!!

Welcome! :) I have also noticed the lack of humor "out there" lately.

This calls for a joke!

You Might Be A Democrat If...

* You own something that says, "Dukakis for President, " and still display it.
* You've ever said, "We really should call the ACLU about this."
* You believe that a few hundred loggers can find another career, but the defenseless spotted owl must live in its
preferred tree.
* You ever based an argument on the phrase, "But they can afford a tax hike because..."
* You keep count of how many people you know in each racial or ethnic category.
* You believe our government must do it because everyone in Europe does.
* You can't talk about foreign policy without using the word conspiracy.
* You think Ralph Nader makes a lot of sense.
* You don't understand why anyone was bothered by Jane's trip to Hanoi.
* You think solar energy is being held back by those greedy oil companies.
* You actually expect to collect Social Security.
* You think the State of Florida should have tried to reform Ted Bundy.
* You think the Great Society has actually worked.
* You got teary-eyed during the film "The American President."
* Your house smells like a garbage dump because of your commitment to recycling.
* You think political patronage describes the Kennedy family.
* Your High School Year Book goals included the words "help people."
* You think the Free Market is where they hand out Government cheese.
* You think Carter should be on Mt. Rushmore.
* You believe personal injury lawyers when they say they are just trying to defend the little guy.
* You know that those profit mongering drug companies could find a cure for AIDS if they really wanted to.
* You actually believe the NY Times and Washington Post.
* You are friends with at least one Vegan.
* You trust Teddy Kennedy when he said that she was driving.
* You think the anti-war protestors from '60s are the real heroes.
* You think that Supply Side Economics refers to your dope dealer's stash.
* You think Michael Jackson is a great example of diversity.
* You actually think that poverty can be abolished.
* You admire the Swedish welfare system.
* You know that Jefferson really meant to say "Entitled to Happiness."
* You think the Flat Tax should be at 95%
* You go to Gay Pride Day parades so that no one can call you homophobic.
* After looking at your pay stub you can still say, "America is undertaxed."
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, I'm not holding my breath! At least I've got my friends here, right? :grouphug:

Of course you do! :grouphug:

snort, snortgiggle, giggle

*wipes eyes*

Ah that's a good one. Wants government to run health care so there can be one entity who is accountable to the taxpayers.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yep - Medicare and Medical - working out great.:thumbsup2

Accountable..

:lmao:

*OK wait - can't breathe*

:rotfl:

I knew these people once who wanted to argue with so badly that they would chase people down the street, sometimes right into their homes, screaming "Come and argue with me! Come and argue with me!" Sometimes I gave them spare change.

:rolleyes1 I've even tried to be nice to a couple of them, but oh well...

LOL, loco.

Ok, so let me get this straight (I'm a little confused after reading another thread). So if anything bad happens to the U.S. when H is president, it will always be because he inherited it from Bush?? It won't be because the the Great One messed up or because he made a bad judgement(because he doesn't and won' do that)?

Did anyone catcht the interview with Gibson and President Bush? I only caught the last of it, but I am so happy that he has kept us so safe after 9/11.

Yep, that's about the sum of it!
Oh, and bad news...because DH's job cut his hours down we will not be going to DLR/DCA during Christmas.

I'd rather you wear the VS undies than go join THEM!!:scared1: :lmao:
:thumbsup2
Well it needs to be nailed shut.:lmao: Glad I corrected that typo.... I typed an "i" instead of a "u" in "shut.":lmao:
:rotfl:
I've noticed that it is a little breezy in here....Of course that may be because of the VS undies I am now wearing!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So, what did you purchase, Pink, or the regular?

random thought, and not looking for a tag because I don't think the TF is political, but does anyone else buy kraft mac/cheese dinner just to use the cheese packets for popcorn?

no, but I will now!

Is there a thread about the Planned Parenthood gift cards that could be used to pay for an abortion?

Now, that is disgusting and horribly sad:sad1: !!

Goodness, we were chatty today, weren't we? I'm trying really hard NOT to post during the day because I do get carried away then I forget that I AM supposed to be working ... some folks are better than multi-tasking than I am....

I did alot of digital as well as traditional albums for family and friends. In fact, I just finished a huge digital wedding album for my son and his wife's first anniversary that I had bound into a book. They had a small, quiet wedding the weekend after Thanksgiving last year for just siblings and parents. It caused some flack with the rest of the family, but that's the way it goes.

Speaking of recipes, I also was involved in a holiday recipe exchange right here on the DIS several years ago, which I have on my photo site. If you'd like to take a look at some of my albums, here's the link.

http://creatingmagicalmemories.shutterfly.com/

All I can say is, GOSH! I've bookmarked that site - those albums are gorgeous....and you're pretty gorgeous yourself - like mother, like daughter...

Wellll, I've never been to Greenland and I've never been to Denver, and I've never buried treasure in St. Louie or St. Paul. And I've never been to Moscow and I've never been to Tampa and I've never been to Boston in the fall....

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I love that one, too! And....my very favorite....

[Larry:] If my lips ever left my mouth, Packed a bag and headed south,That'd be too bad, I'd be so sad.
Dr. Archibald: I see, that'd be too bad, you'd be so sad?
Larry:That'd be too bad.
Dr. Archibald: Alrighty.
Larry: If my lips said Adios, I don't like you, I think you're gross. That'd be too bad, I might get mad....

*waving* BTW, on the new signature picture thing.. someone sent it to ME, first! I'm just sharing the love! :)

*going to read backwards and try to catch up.. I did read something about,
"you had me at liberal crap" and I totally cracked up which is good today since I'm feeling ick. I think I finally caught the crud that is going around.

that thing is taking forever for me to get rid of -- get some rest...

Mmmm...food.

I've barely eaten today and I am starving.

Oh, and bad news...because DH's job cut his hours down we will not be going to DLR/DCA during Christmas.

:grouphug:

No, it's not. I heard it on the radio the other day and it was on the national news tonight.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=82069

I'm sure PP defenders will say that they are meant for other services. Well, that's true but PP also say they could be used for an abortion.

I'd heard about that, too :sad1:

I need to call it a night. It's past my new bedtime (I'm trying to go to bed earlier so I'm not a zombie all day). I don't how I can possibly sleep, though. I'm all worked up about the abortion gift cards and I am still dealing with a raging craving for peppermint bark. If I can't track some down tomorrow, I'm buying the ingredients to make it. Thanks a lot, Breezy, you started this ;)

On that note, I say good night conservative friends!

I'm trying that going-to-bed-early thing, too. Ha! Who am I kidding?

Good night, Hilarie with an 'H'

Abortion is legal, and a service at some Planned Parenthoods, why wouldn't the gift card be good for it? It is like giving someone a pre-paid Visa/Mastercard isn't it? That would also be able to be used for abortion if the clinic took Visa/Mastercard?

I guess I don't understand the outrage about a card being able to be used to pay for a medical service? I understand outrage at abortion, itself, from people who are not pro-choice, but I don't understand outrage at how people pay for one. :confused3

I don't care how people pay for medical care.

Nor do I usually, but in this case I think it's nasty to have a prepaid abortion card.

And the guy that you ladies asked who it was? Gerard Butler. He was the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, he's been in 300 (King Leonidas) and a bunch of other movies.

H now has his own paid legal holiday::sad2:

Save the date: Ala. county passes Obama holiday

MARION, Ala. (AP) — In central Alabama's Perry County, government workers already get a day off for President's Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Veterans Day. In 2009, they'll get one more: "Barack Obama Day."

The rural county, which overwhelmingly supported Obama in last month's presidential election, has approved the second Monday in November as "The Barack Obama Day." Commissioners passed a measure that would close county offices for the new annual holiday and its roughly 40 workers will get a paid day off.Sponsoring commissioner Albert Turner Jr. said the holiday is meant to highlight the Democratic president-elect's victory as a way to give people faith that difficult goals can be achieved.
Perry County has 12,000 residents, most of them black. Voters there backed Obama by over 70 percent in a state that gave 60 percent of the overall vote to Republican John McCain based largely on strong support from white voters.

At the state level, Alabama observes the standard federal holidays as well as a handful of its own that include Confederate Memorial Day in April and the June birthday of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. It observes Martin Luther King's birthday in January but the holiday is twinned with commemoration of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee on the same day.

The Perry County Commission's three black members and one of its two white members voted for the Obama holiday.

Commissioner Brett Harrison said Wednesday he voted against the resolution because of the costs to the county, which has a $2.2 million annual payroll and is one of the poorest in the state. He said closing the courthouse would also idle some state employees.

"I'm a Democrat, but just in these financial times, it's not using the county's money wisely," Harrison told The Associated Press by phone Wednesday. "The recognition is certainly well-founded."

Turner said copies of the resolution, adopted at a Nov. 25 meeting, have been mailed to Obama and his transition team.

I think it's a very creepy gift. There's just something about that's very very wrong.

That's a horrible idea and an abomination. What is our country coming to??:sad2:

A holiday for a man who hasn't even done anything? Wow. Just... wow. But then, that's my response to a lot of things liberals do, lol.

I must disagree with you on this one. Just the fact that it's a GIFT CARD given out by PP makes me sick to my stomach. That is way over the line. :sad2:

It actually fits him because the holiday lets a bunch of Government workers accomplish nothing while get paid from the sweat of hard working tax payers who do not get the day off and have to actually do a job.

:goodvibes
