I have been thinking about Lent and have decided I am giving up the CB with the exception of this thread. I still have a trip to plan so won't give up the Dis but I will give up the loony's out there. Truth is it does not make any difference to try to explain to them our position and I am done trying. I will never believe as they do and they will never understand why I make the choices I do. They won so ok. I am done. I know that is exactly what they want but I have to change my focus now to protecting my family and doing what I can to save what little assets we have at this point. I guess I just realize I am wasting my time. I am also giving up listening to the president. He can say whatever if I don't hear it then it cannot get me upset. I am completely despondent at this point. I cannot take anymore without just crawling into a corner and hiding!!! What do they say Ignorance is bliss? Well for a few weeks I am choosing ignorance to all their hope and change! I will spend the time in prayer for our leaders and remember my faith is in God.

And I'm taking the plunge....

our County's Republican Party will be having its precinct caucuses this Sunday. Since I'm one of perhaps two conservatives in my precinct, I might actually make a difference! And go to a convention or something or other. Exciting!

And, despite the liberal-ness of our city, our Republican Party is quite conservative. I think.

The last time I tried this, I met with an older married couple and another older gentleman at a neighborhood restaurant. They were so cordial and let me be secretary first thing! Then they began talking about delegates/caucuses and electing, blah blah blah...and they took a vote for folks to go to caucuses, etc. And wouldn't you know it? I wasn't eligible because I was secretary!

Left a bad taste in my mouth but I'm back! And ready to rumble....

Was anybody else getting the banner ad on one of the threads yesterday with a banner ad asking if you were sorry you voted for Obama? Made me laugh, except guess what...my neighbors are. I was talking to my neighbor this morning and she said her husband was just hopping mad about all of this "stimulus" and banking garbage going on. She asked me if I voted for Obama and I said NOPE. I know for sure I remember hearing their daughter talking about them voting for Obama, for change and a better future, etc.

Can't explain the clothing choices. Been trying to figure them out for the last two weeks.
