President Obama feeds this issue. So no, at this point I will not say its ridiculous until somebody gives me a reason to back that up.

Truly, though, for the folks like Philip Berg and Andy Martin, it would never be enough. Release some document, and they'll say the document was forged (see the analysis out there of the BC posted by the Obama campaign back in June 2008). Then you'll have to have forensic analysis of the typeface, the paper, the ink....

Nope because of the way Obama has handled the entire situation, many of us feel that it is not ridiculous. Obama’s not acting like an innocent man in this.

Now, am I to understand that you – or one of the other lurkers – have yet again stolen someone else’s post off of this thread and took it elsewhere to stir the pot? Because if so, that is ridiculous and you – or the person who did it – needs to be reported.

Yes, that may very well the case IF a document is released. But until that happens, as far as I'm concerned it looks strange at the very least.

My "theory" is that our president enjoys toying with us all. He likes to pull the strings and frankly I think he just gets off on getting a rise out of us all. He may very well have not a thing to hide. But for whatever reason he chooses not to put this thing to rest, he comes off in a very bad light to me. But hey, the guy won, so what the Sam Hill does he care.

And frankly for the record, I find your calling out another poster on our thread just beyond rude. Lurking is one thing. You engaged in something else.

I won't bother lurking there, but I completely agree. Newsflash lurkers, the opinions contained within the conservative thread certainly don't need the liberal stamp of approval, and vice versa. Unless it's something said out on one of the open debate threads, it should be left alone in my opinion. Otherwise, it really is nothing more than an attempt to pot stir, which people have been banned for.

I agree with Amy. TL's theory that she posted here is her theory and I don't recall it being up for debate.

I don't know if he has anything to hide with his birth certificate but he sure is acting like he does. Just release the official records for public scrutiny and be done with it. Don't release them to someone like the dailykoskrap, send them to someone legit and nonpartisan. It'll be over and done with and if there's nothing to worry about everyone can stop petitioning the courts.
But he's refusing to put it to rest.

That's really not your place though to try and drag someone into a debate against their will. You may not respect this as a safe haven to bat our conservative thoughts around, but that's what we consider it to be. I assume the libs feel the same way about their thread. Sorry, but I don't buy that you C&P discussion from this thread onto another just because you wanted to offer somebody an opportunity to defend themselves. Well the cb is sort of like Vegas. What happens here stays here. For example, if I see you on a thead about say Fantasmic, and then I post some things you said about say Repbulicans, would you feel violated? Now I know that you pasted something onto another thread about that same topic, however it is not really considered cool to paste someobody else's words on a different thread. Even one on the same topic. Its one of those fine line things in life. And you're going to have to do a whole lot better than the "I just wanted to give him an opportunity to defend it" to make me think you didn't want to just stir the old pot.

And here's the best way to avoid this whole mess. Just stay off our thread. We're a bunch of cons, a bunch of weirdos that can't possibly offer up one thing you'll find anything but worthy of ridicule.

And I agree with you all, I picked up on the whole Obama citizenship thing before the election. I think it's fishy he won't release his papers. If it's nothing to hide, just release it. The fact he won't and is now permanently sealing them, just causes me to question even more. When I first heard it six months ago I thought the same thing, "he wouldn't have gotten this far without someone already checking into it." But the fact that it hasn't gone away...well, now I wonder
