Pippi ein Schuhidiot, was sie mich nannte. Es war Liebe an der ersten Beleidigung.

Gute Zeit, Gute Zeit.

Just to follow-up on my shoe shenanigans from that night. On our first serious date weeks later, we walked along the shore of the same lake (from the party).

Guess what we found?

1ea Sperry top-sider shoe- Size 12. Mine. DW still has it somewhere. Who woulda thought a stinky shoe (you may recall socks were not customarily worn with top-siders) would serve to "plight my troth"

::yes::
Cool story. :rotfl:
When I got to Germany (Rob was there living with his family), he got down on one knee and had a jewelry box. I backed away and said, "NO NO NO NO NO!". He opened it slowly and said, "Will you.....have a Hershey's kiss?" He'd stuck a piece of chocolate in it. I punched him on the arm.
He was always doing stuff like that. "Will you....hand me that shoe? Will you...grab that DVD? Will you...pass me my cellphone?"
Finally one day, we're sitting on the train at Disneyland Paris. Next to me is this 10yo girl with the hairiest legs I've ever seen. Rob looks at me says, "Will you..." and I said "What? Pick your nose? Scratch your butt? Tie your shoe?" and he says "No. Will you marry me?". I said, "Yeah, I guess so." :rotfl:
Our 9 year anniversary is in May. :)
BTW, his 'version' is more romantic. Mine is the way it actually happened. When people have asked, "Where'd you get engaged?" and I say Paris, women are like "so romantic!" Uh, no. LOL

Health and exit? :rotfl2:

Watching rerun of Greta now - there are 3 republican senators who are voting for the bill. Graham is saying there will need to be more money. Dem is saying it is bi-partisan. What is her definition of bi- partisan?

Okay, with all this thought police nonsense, I thought I would go down memory lane and look for some of the bad, bad Bush posts. Guess what: there is a plethora of them. In fact, I would think that some of them, if investigated, would make life uncomfortable for, say, a government employee (current or retired) or someone wanting to go into law enforcement or sit for the bar or whatever.

Here's what came to mind when I read KnowThyself's post.

Maybe keep some of those posts you mention bookmarked, but I wouldn't stoop to their level just now.

That's what I thought. ::cop:

Nah, I can act pretty juvenile, but that type of behavior is beyond my comprehension...for the moment, anyway. However, the puerile drivel that they keep spewing is getting a bit tedious.

Just thought I would add: I went ahead and printed them out so no one would have to worry about editing!

I'm glad you took the time and effort to go wade through some of their drivel though. :grouphug: Do you need to be made clean?

Haha.. you guys.

By the way, happy birthday to our beloved President Reagan!

Wow. You guys were crazy busy tonight - and were invaded it looks...

Yeah, that post was started by one of our resident lurkers. She didn't like the reports on this thread about all of the USS Cole family members PO'd at Obama so she probably found the one, and only, person who decided Obama's doing good in this in order to thumb her nose at us. Doubtful that thread would have been started if we weren't talking about the same subject on this thread.

Should we report it for pot-stirring?

Wow.

Carry on with your Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Wow, a couple of you (breezy) hit a nerve with PR tonight to pull him into this thread. Could it be that he realizes that he's in denial that Obama is showing some sympathy for terrorist?

Well, actually, the entire left shows more sympathy for those terrorist then they do – say, an unborn child that the mother wishes to kill. But hey.. that’s our messed-up society.

Isn't it amazing, Conservatives, when we point out something reprehensible that bho has actually done, it's obama derangement syndrome?
It's not BDS, though, when they scream about imaginary evils from the former Bush administration. :scratchin

Someone needs to call the pharmacist and see if their meds are ready. :lmao:

It's those darn double standards. Again.

I don't think the Democratic Party would appreciate you referring to their mascot in those terms.;)

:lmao: You're on a roll SM.

she said she's unhappy that they took out all the money for school construction. i don't blame her. they're spending an awful lot on making their offices look pretty, but forget teaching the nation's children anything...they don't matter.

I seriously doubt that the school construction would see much of any of it should it be left in the bill. This money will be just as badly mismanaged as the last bailout. Why? Despite the fact that Pelosi keeps lying and blaming the Bush Administration for the poor accountability of the last handout; it was never Bush in charge of that money. It was Pelosi and Congress in control. And guess who's in charge of this money? Pelosi and Congress.

But Bush will somehow still get the blame.

I'm sure.

SD, I spoke to family who are stationed in VA. They said that most are stunned at the decision and are not happy with it. FIL said that those of us who didn't vote for bho are paying for the stupidity of the ones who did.

Agreed. :sad2:

I don't care what you think about the President or his policies.

To make such a vile post is sick. How can anyone joke about assassination?

She's already been called on it by one of us. So, go away (.. oh, yay, you did)

Then do yourself a favor; stop lurking. You won't agree with anything said on this thread. You can't; you voted for Obama. We despise what the man is currently (and in only two weeks) doing to this country. He's setting the stage for another terrorst attack. We despise the fact that the man so brazenly lied about everything and embarrassed this country with his arrogance and you guys fell for it all. He stands for everything America isn't. He's socialist. America was never made to be that way. He will destroy this country and people, like you, are letting him. Stop lurking. You'll never see our viewpoint; we'll never see yours.

hey PR...looks like one of your critters has escaped. mind rounding it up and taking it home?

:lmao:

It's amazing how the left had no problem with this when movies were being made and books written about Bush being assassinated. Back then it was considered free speech and if someone on the right spoke out about it they were a bunch of Nazis

Good point. I think PR said something about it being on the other side now in relation to Bush and Obama. He was talking from a lib's point of view but I think that he and his friends need to heed his advice. I wasn't a Bush supporter these last seven years but the left has given that man you know what. They've mocked him, ridiculed, cried for his imprisonment; wished him dead. For eight years they've done that. Now they can't take the heat when it's the other side that has issues with their choice.

42% tax cuts (thank you, Republicans)

58% spending (thank you, Democrats)

$805 billion and climbing

:sad2: I am 100% against this bill.

that sounds more like it...i'll bet you're right. we found out only recently that the bushes would go meet with military families and it was all kept very private. :goodvibes

Obama is arrogant and has to have media attention all the time. I considered Bush arrogant all of these years. I was wrong.

I'd like to have this be a thread (maybe), but thought I'd share with you guys first-

I took some pics of the memorial plaque. I'll post them shortly.

:thumbsup2 He was a good man.

To set the record straight for any lurkers out there, Wonder wasn't laughing at the idea of a POTUS being assassinated, she was saying that the actions of our current POTUS could drive someone to want to harm him...
This is what Wonder said verbatim:

is this making fun of the idea of a POTUS being assassinated???

Don't input logic when 99.9% of liberal prove to be illogical.

In WWII, Hitler used to invade countries on the weekends when the world leaders were retiring to their country estates. By the time, they got back to work, the deed had been done....some tactics don't change, do they?

The comparisons that can be made - from the beginning of this election - between Obama and his plans and Hitler and Nazi Germany are beyond frightening. It makes me sick to my stomach that America allowed this man into office. They voted for skin color and not character. They accuse me of being a racist for not voting for him; I accuse them of being a racist for voting for him.

That will be for the Secret Service to decide as it has been reported as soon as the threat was made.

Hi L.A. :wave2: Welcome back.

Oh, hey, someone "notified the Secret Service" for ya. Because you know, you're such a threat.
I think what he means by "notified the Secret Service" is he whispered it to the straws in the institution cafeteria. :p

Yeah, they probably have. They've done it before - they all have the number on speed dial by now. I figure this: If the SS didn't care one iota that an actual movie was made about killing GWB; they're not going to care that a woman on a Disney message board made a comment about Obama and Lincoln when Obama was the one trying to make himself out to be Lincoln.

I, mean, everyone knows how Lincoln ended. That'd be the last person I'd try to compare myself to - at least to the extent that Obama did. He was Lincoln obsessed during the inauguration.

oh good. hope they don't mind lookin' down the barrel of a shotgun when they set their toes on my property.

Wonder- if you're going to talk like that; you need to move to Texas. You're in the land of the liberals. Here, in Texas, we like our guns and wouldn't think twice about your comment. Those liberals, however, can't take it and have probably already called out a SWAT team on you.

:faint: Who would have thought.

Oh, and they were whining the other day that we weren't giving Obama a chance and that they waited until Bush had been in office for awhile before hating him.

Right.

I bet if we can pull up posts from the week of the 2001 inauguration, we'd see an entirely different story.
