For most people, it's different with your kids. I'm one of those. If my kids puke, I'm SuperWoman. I hold back hair, I wipe mouths, I rub backs, I can clean it off floors or faces or clothes, I have even caught it in my hands. But if my husband throws up, he is on his own, jack. I gag horribly if the dog or cats puke and really can't handle cleaning it.

I was like that with poop, too. My own babies' diapers never bothered me, but other people's babies have gross poop. :lmao:

I was a terrible Mom. The best I could do.....was to bring them a waste can to throw up in. I have an i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-y weak stomach.

Someone explain this to me. I don't understand.

The dem/libs have a dem president and are in total control of the House and Senate....BUT.....It's the republicans fault the "stimulus" package hasn't been passed. Do what?? Princess Puke wasted no time passing her pork. I can't believe they're serious. ????

Totally true. I was the type that would immediately run in the other direction if there was any chance of someone puking but when I had my kids well it's just different. I've even caught puke with my hands while I'm driving:rotfl: , yes I am that talented!!

Do they have the 7 for 4 deal available during your target trip times? That would cut the price almost in half, if they have it. Hope it works out for you!

I'll have to check it out. I also got the 40% off code so I could go that route but we have DVC so I have a stay that is totally paid for already. I just wanted to do something a little special for dd since she loves the Poly so much and I figured for $1 I can't go wrong. We'll have to see what happens I still have plenty of time to figure it out.

Bodily functions aside, it is good to hear of stellar mothers running away from puke clean up duty....that would so be me. Odd, though - when the pups do it, it's not so bad...go figure.

Wonder what Pelosi would do if we all went to DC to puke on her....hmmmmm....

You guys are cracking me up with the gross-out fest tonight. :scared: :lmao:

That's pretty much it around here, with the addition that if the kids throw up I am on my own; my husband will add to the mess if he has to see it.

Did I mention that on our Disneyland trip my son splatted the back of my (rental van) seat on our way back up to meet my husband's flight...on I-5 just outside of LA, in congested traffic, in a construction zone? :faint: Yeah. No chance I was catching that one. My daughter gave it a valiant effort, but it was pretty impressive splatting. Then I got waved over for a vehicle search just outside the airport. I'm thinking..."go for it buddy." :rotfl2: Lucky for him, he ended up waving me around. I had no objection to a search, but I had a feeling the guy would open the door, take one look, and close the door again anyhow. :scared: Pretty sure I would.

Good Morning Cons!!

See that below?! I leave tomorrow for FL!! How exciting?! We don't actually hit Disney til Friday. I'm excited though, I persuaded my parents that we need to have mini corn dogs for lunch Friday. And on Saturday we're having French Toast Loaf for breakfast! (Though they may have Cinnamon Buns.) Which means two straight days in the MK! :cheer2:

I have two loads of laundry to do, packing, and then I'm good to go! I already stopped my mail and everything!

I'm confused though...there's this white stuff falling from the sky and it's not magically created by Disney :confused3

Good Morning, Cons. I'm at work, so not much time to post, but saw this this morning and just had to share. I think any one of us could have written it, and it's so good I'm including it here in its entirety:

The Impending Obama Meltdown
By Victor Davis Hanson

Some of us have been warning that it was not healthy for the U.S. media to have deified rather than questioned Obama, especially given that they tore apart Bush, ridiculed Palin, and caricatured Hillary. And now we can see the results of their two years of advocacy rather than scrutiny.

We are quite literally after two weeks teetering on an Obama implosion—and with no Dick Morris to bail him out—brought on by messianic delusions of grandeur, hubris, and a strange naivete that soaring rhetoric and a multiracial profile can add requisite cover to good old-fashioned Chicago politicking.

First, there were the sermons on ethics, belied by the appointments of tax dodgers, crass lobbyists, and wheeler-dealers like Richardson—with the relish of the Blago tapes still to come. (And why does Richardson/Daschle go, but not Geithner?).

Second, was the "stimulus" (the euphemism for "borrow/print money") that was simply a way to go into debt for a generation to shower Democratic constinuencies with cash.

Then third, there were the inflated lectures on historic foreign policy to be made by the clumsy political novice who trashed his own country and his predecessor in the most ungracious manner overseas to a censured Saudi-run press organ (e.g., Bush is dictatorial, the Saudi king is courageous; Obama can mend bridges that America broke to aggrieved Muslims (apparently Tehran hostages, Rushdie, serial attacks in the 1990s, 9/11, Madrid, London never apparently occurred, and neither did feeding Somalis, saving Kuwait, protesting Chechnya, Bosnia/Kosovo, billions to Egypt, Jordan, the Palestinians, help in two Afghan wars, and on and on).

Fourth, there was the campaign rhetoric of Bush shredding the Constitution—FISA, Guantanamo, Patriot Act, Iraq, renditions, etc.—followed by "all that for now stays the same" inasmuch as we haven't ben hit in over seven years and can't risk another attack.

Fifth, Gibbs as press secretary is a Scott McClellan nightmare that won't go away, given his long McClellan-like relationship with Obama (McClellan should have been fired on day hour one on the job). Blaming Fox News for Obama's calamities is McClellan to the core and doesn't work. He already reminds me of Rev. Wright's undoing at the National Press Club—and he will get worse.

Six, Biden is being Biden. Already, he's ridiculed the chief justice, trashed the former VP, bragged on himself ad nauseam in Bidenesque weird ways, and it's only been two weeks.

And the result of all this?

At home, Obama is becoming laughable and laying the groundwork for the greatest conservative populist reaction since the Reagan Revolution.

Abroad, some really creepy people are lining up to test Obama's world view of "Bush did it/but I am the world": The North Koreans are readying their missiles; the Iranians are calling us passive, bragging on nukes and satellites; Russia is declaring missile defense is over and the Euros in real need of iffy Russian gas; Pakistanis say no more drone attacks (and then our friends the Indians say "shut up" about Kashmir and the Euros order no more 'buy American").

This is quite serious. I can't recall a similarly disastrous start in a half-century (far worse than Bill Clinton's initial slips). Obama immediately must lower the hope-and-change rhetoric, ignore Reid/Pelosi, drop the therapy, and accept the tragic view that the world abroad is not misunderstood but quite dangerous. And he must listen on foreign policy to his National Security Advisor, Billary, and Sec. of Defense. If he doesn't quit the messianic style and perpetual campaign mode, and begin humbly governing, then he will devolve into Carterism—angry that the once-fawning press betrayed him while we the people, due to our American malaise, are to blame.

Stimulus Update... Democrats: "We don't have the votes".

Good news, the bill, which has tripled from its post-election size, will likely be pared down by as much as $200B to garner bipartisan support.

I'd like to see this bill cut by far more than $200B and I'd like to see AT LEAST half of it be tax cuts before I want to see a single Republican vote for it. I fear, however, that the Senate GOP members, who are far more into the "old boys' club" than their counterparts in the House, really want to go along to get along on this one — especially McCain. This announcement that it'll be "cut" is, to me, just window dressing. It's still full of pork.

This bill is nothing more than a pork-laden payout by democrats and the President Obama to democrat special interest groups in exchange for campaign money and votes down the road. We are watching — before our very eyes — bribery in the making, and WE'RE PAYING THE BRIBE!

If this bill isn't 100% stripped of every piece of payola to special interest groups — which will create NO JOBS or economic stimulus at all — I do not want to see a single Republican vote for it.

:thumbsup2 I'm sad to say it - but he's dead on. That is not a good thing for our country.

This part:

Then third, there were the inflated lectures on historic foreign policy to be made by the clumsy political novice who trashed his own country and his predecessor in the most ungracious manner overseas to a censured Saudi-run press organ (e.g., Bush is dictatorial, the Saudi king is courageous; Obama can mend bridges that America broke to aggrieved Muslims (apparently Tehran hostages, Rushdie, serial attacks in the 1990s, 9/11, Madrid, London never apparently occurred, and neither did feeding Somalis, saving Kuwait, protesting Chechnya, Bosnia/Kosovo, billions to Egypt, Jordan, the Palestinians, help in two Afghan wars, and on and on).

makes me  How dare he go and trash us like that? Obama's a fool and we'll all suffer for it and he needs to understand this:

and accept the tragic view that the world abroad is not misunderstood but quite dangerous.

Until Obama gets that - we, America, certainly aren't safe. The lib's think that we just need to "talk". The thing is, people have talked but the terrorist won't listen. It wasn't GWB himself that made them hate America (although they did hate GWB for standing up to them) it's our lifestyle that they hate and protest. They were attacking us before Bush entered office. Obama’s a fool if he truly does think he can march into Washington and just talk his way into peace. Those people don’t know how to talk; they only know how to fight for what they believe to be right… and the American lifestyle, to them, isn’t right.

Mmmmmm Tonga Toast (in my best Homer Simpson voice). You really have no idea just exactly how jealous I am right now do you:rotfl: . In fact I've spent the last 2 nights over at the hotels for $1 thread on the budget board just trying to get a room at the poly for the end of our May/June trip. DD loves the Poly but I just can't bring myself to pay $400+ a night, we used to stay there fairly often when I could get a room for around $235 with a good discount, now those days are gone and so is the Poly for now:sad1: .

Very good. The thing is, I don't see him "getting it". The whole pride/corruption thing tends to cloud rational thought donchaknow. ;)

However, I don't agree with the Carter-result. I believe we're going to see much worse than Carter. The stakes are higher. Those terrorists have seen a successful hit on US soil and won't stop until they see another. And with a terrorist-sympathiser POTUS(ref: Gitmo, the fire-side chats with Iranian terrorist/president, and the delay of terrorists trial) - the nut jobs in the world are bound to try their hand while he's at the helm. And with Obama wanting to pass a HUGE pork bill....our economy is in far more trouble than Carter ever saw. IMO

Amen! Amen! Amen!

Puke watch update: DD feeling better, but still pale. She tried to come downstairs and I said no way!

So, the rest of us are just looking at each other wondering...."who's next"

the starry-eyed libs cannot understand that there are countries which HATE america and want to destroy it, regardless of the singing, hand holding, and hugging. they think it's kewl that bho keeps his ugly mug on t.v. all the time; doesn't matter that he has yet to say anything substantive; he glows in their eyes not matter what he does and they believe he's a good man no matter his idiotic ideology. remember jim jones? david koresh? come one libs...it's the same, just politics rather than religion. he's merely the figurehead for the democratic congress to do whatever they want. he's the spending conduit. like those vacuum tubes banks and department stores used to have for getting money from one place to the other.

Yeah, I would like to see the Republicans stand their ground on this issue, but I'm not holding my breath.
