Darn, I could just kick myself right now. The CPers on the 13th of Feb. are eligible for a behind-the-scenes tour of HM, and when I called to sign up, would you believe the spots are already full?? I could cry right about now!!! My roomie and I were just talking about how we want to see the inner workings of the HM.... ahhh, well. Maybe we can arrange a tour another time. We both know CPers who work there.

Oh that's too bad. I hope you can get another tour.

I doubt there will be a vote today. They have a lot of Republicans lined up to talk.

DH and I figured out this weekend that we lost about $8000 in income this year with his bonus getting cut and no raise. Normally, I'd get a part time job to cover at least some of that loss, but there's NOTHING here. We're so grateful he still has a job!!

The great and powerful Obama's stimulus plan will be bringing us about $500 a year, since I don't work I don't get a payroll tax cut. We sold our house and moved into an apartment because we determined we would do better financially paying a rent that was lower than our mortgage and having the management do all the repair and maintenance, so all the mortgage "help" does nothing for us either.

So, if I were to be at the town hall meeting I'd be asking his Obama-ness what we're getting out of his grand plan.

The USS Jimmy Carter is really a submarine. The USS Bill Clinton, not so much. It is just a joke that someone posted on Glenn's boards.

Yeah, that's what DH said. We get to pay for everyone else to get stimulated-he said it's sort of like our tax dollars covering the Viagra for all the retirees that live down here.

Soarin it is no wonder your tired working early and then late shifts! Is there a pool you have access to? Take the afternoon to hang out at the pool and rest. I bet they offer these tours more than once in a CP cycle. Just be sure to be first on the list the next time. Take care of yourself and be sure to get enough rest and also some healthy foods too.

Well tomorrow I'm off at 3:30pm so I'm going to come home and rest for a bit. I'm resting all day Wednesday too (I have two tests I have to go take through my distance learning classes), but Thursday me and my roomie and one of our suitemates are going over to Epcot to eat dinner at Tutto Italia, so we are looking forward to that. We've all worked so much lately we haven't really had any time to spend together and just hang out.

I have to leave in a few minutes to go to work. Last time at night for awhile, thankfully. I like my morning shifts. I get there, I work, I go home. No closing the place, no cleaning up after closing, nothing. Just tell my co-workers good-bye and head out. I love that.

Hi, Debbie. Yes, Make A Wish. I don't know if I've even mentioned it. It's on my mind quite a bit now because our big fundraiser is Friday. Our area gets almost all of our monies as a result of the annual wish-a-thon. I get to meet a child tomorrow night to see what his wish might be. Yeah! While I never get to see them on their wishes, I love the parties where we get to tell them their wish is coming true.

Funny thing about the Red Birds-I really like them, but I've been to see the Cards more and they are 4 1/2 hrs away. LOL I think it is because I can turn it into a vacation

St. Jude is so good, I really hope they never close their doors. It is just so great that payment is only from insurance and not from the patient's families. It is a huge relief to families that they don't have to worry about that also. I've only visited a couple of times, but it is really neat that they cater to making the kids as happy as they can. The Grizzley House and the Ronald McDonald House are great for the families and patients also. I think there are other houses but I don't know for sure.
