I'm in! :yay:

Great title, great first page, great picture of Nancy Pelosi.

But it's a sad day for ostriches...

So, can we assume the libs disagree with Jindal simply because of his skin color? Are they bigots? Tsk, tsk!
And I suppose it's okay if we insist that they are, even when they state that they disagree with his policies and it has nothing to do with him being Indian, right? :rolleyes1 :teeth:

There were a bunch of posts taking shots at what they seem to feel is his lack of "manliness".(Like BHO is that manly :rotfl2: )

Many went so far as to refer to Jindal as "Sissy Pants". Pretty mature huh?

This is from the left who are so tolerant, while we are the bigots. They must really love living in the fantasy world that exists in their little narrow minds.

:rolleyes1

Immature jerks. That's all they are....:sad2: And among the most narrow-minded individuals I've ever seen in my entire life.

Anyone catch Obama speaking at marine base today? It was your normal packed auditorium full of servicemen. They started playing "Hail to the Chief" and Obama came to the mike, there was a very polite applause. Nothing compared to cheers when Bush entered the room. Just sayin....

Listening to the news on the radio, you would have thought he got a standing ovation.

They are delusional if they think that anyone else is buying their lame attempt at playing innocent after making those remarks.

I personally think 'sissy pants' is rather immature, and oh so 4th grade! I happen to like 'sissy-la-la' better ;) it sounds more refined, more uh,.........French :)

:wave2: Hi guys! How is everyone? :)

I'm here for the Tea Party! I love tea parties :goodvibes Great thread title breezy! :wizard:

So I was checking out the link that Got Disney posted about the tea parties and saw this:

State officials ban tea from Tea Party
By Michelle Malkin • February 27, 2009 11:04 AM

Via Snapped Shot and STACLU comes news that Iowa state officials have banned the use of tea by Tea Party protesters holding an event tomorrow in Cedar Rapids.

The tea violates environmental standards because it will discolor the water:

A Cedar Rapids group will do a symbolic tea dumping into the Cedar River on Saturday because state officials won’t let them use the real thing.

An anti-tax group wanted to pitch in real tea like the Bostonian revolutionaries opposed to England’s tea taxes.

Tea, although natural and quite tasty, is considered a pollutant that can’t go into a body of water without a permit, said Mike Wade, a senior environmental specialist at the DNR’s Manchester field office.

“Discoloration is considered a violation,” Wade said.

This kind of crap is what we are all complaining about. How about we get some common sense in our Government.

I say throw the damn tea in the water!

Where's that duct tape?

What I was saying on the last thread: Right now the average American that pays taxes, which – everyone needs to realize how many Americans don’t pay taxes. - But the avg. American currently pays between 15 – 24% of taxes depending on their income. The rich pay 34% and the rich pay 60-70% of the collective taxes to the government. That’s what ticks me off about these people that pay nothing – or next to nothing – in taxes holding their hands out and demanding that the rich pay even more than they already do. The rich already bear the tax burden in this country.

Now these same people that have their hands held out want a socialist platform for this country. They want the government to provide them with inadequate healthcare. They want the government to provide them with inadequate this and inadequate that because the government will never have - or be willing to spend - the money on adequate things for the masses. But these people want this. They want us to be like France or Canada or like the other socialist countries that have the government providing things for them. Things that are less to our American standards. They want the government to raise our taxes up to 40, 50, even 60% like these other countries for “freebees” that aren’t “freebees”. There’s no such thing as free healthcare. It doesn’t exist. If we go nationalized then everyone will have a huge raise in their taxes in order to pay for everyone to have healthcare services that won’t be up to the standard that we are accustomed to having in a privatized system.

We are a spoiled country and these lib’s don’t understand just how good we currently have things. They won’t realize it until they get what they ‘want’ but then they’ll be crying, screaming and pointing fingers in blame because what they say they want really isn’t what they want. I’m especially concerned over our healthcare. America is the leader in advanced medicines, ect.. Why? Because we’re privatized and have the pharmaceutical companies that spend the money on the research in medical advances. Canada, the socialist European counties don’t have this money. They, as one expert in this field (and a Canadian at that who is against America going into socialized medicine) stated: Europe and Canada piggyback off of America. America spends the money for this research and medical advances; the other countries look to see there is any of the medicines that they're willing to pay for and if there is, they bring that medicine into their own country. But the socialized countries reject a lot of the medicines that are used in America and have proven to benefit and prolong life for various illnesses because the governments aren’t willing to spend that much money on the masses.

Don’t people realize that the quality of life will go down if we go socialized? Don’t they realize how much we’d have to give up in order to ‘treat the masses'? Don’t they understand the long waiting lists just to get in to see your physician for a case of strep throat and those lists can go weeks out? I was shocked to learn how many Canadians, that can afford to do so, come over to America to seek medical treatment because 1) it’s more adequate than what they receive in Canada and 2) they can get in to see a physician in a timely manner unlike the majority are able to do in Canada. So, they cross the border, seek treatment here in the US, pay out of pocket and then go back to Canada to sue the government for not providing them adequate medical treatment in a timely manner.

So, earlier today one of the accountants stopped at my desk to inform me that Obama is changing the charitable tax code.

As I previously discussed, the rich are already paying 34%, at least, of their earned money back to the government and already shoulder the tax burden of this country. As I said before, the poor don’t pay taxes. They just receive.
I don’t know what the lib’s think. Do they think that the rich just sit around on piles of money all day long doing nothing? Even the rich have bills to pay. The rich help our economy as they are the ones that purchase the most from our places of business in order to keep this country moving. They also give the most in charitable donations. Do they get a small tax deduction from it? Yes. But I don’t begrudge them that; they already pay in to the government a heck of a lot more then I ever have to. If they can help out the poor in order to offset their heavy tax burden, so be it.

But, not anymore.

The new tax code will phase out the deductions. The rich will no longer have an incentive to give so much to hospitals, to non-profit organizations, ect…
And I seriously doubt that they want to help out, of the goodness of their hearts, those people with pitchforks screaming at them right now for them to give more then their fair share so that those with the pitchforks can have more government freebees when the rich have already been giving them a lot for years now. I’m sure that the rich will still contribute to charitable causes that they believe in, but they no longer have an incentive to really give. If they can’t get a tax deduction for helping out the poor to off-set their already high tax.

Several accountants at work are just shaking their heads right now at Obama’s, Pelosi’s and Reed’s idiocy. The accountants understand how this will hurt, not help, America.

Mark my words: more businesses are about to leave America for good. More jobs will be lost. Unemployment will continue to rise. The rich will stop giving so much to charity and will use that money instead to pay off their tax burdens. Some of them may even leave the country to escape the taxation. All of these lib’s that believe things will be better now that Obama is in office are living in a fantasy world; Obama is making things worse and they will have him to thank when 50-60% of their paycheck is being paid back to the government.

just because.

Has anyone posted the video w/ Sheriff Harry Lee and Jindal over on the thread that keeps repeating some TPM crap about Jindal lied? I just watched it and Sheriff Lee supports everything he said. Unfortunately, the Sheriff died in 2007 and this is, apparently, someone's home video, but it proves those TPM morons wrong.

We should know, after everything with Palin, that video proof that Jindal didn't lie is meaningless. With Palin, we'd debunk the millions of vile lies that the left gave on her. They'd lay low for a couple of weeks since they couldn't argue with the truth and then once we quieted down they'd start all over again with the same lies. Palin’s office still gets phone calls asking if Trig is really her son.

The left don’t want us pointing out the truth to them; they won’t listen. They know they’re spewing lies but they’ll do anything to protect their messiah against any perceived threat. And people like Palin and Jindal are threats to Obama; Palin and Jindal are people that would actually make positive change to America (unlike Obama’s very negative change) and help make America prosper. Why do liberals want America to suffer so? Do they really hate this country and what it was founded on that much?? :confused3

DH said that he read that a lot of "Where is John Galt" bumper stickers are showing up!

I was happy when I saw your Atlas Shrugged thread. I was excited to see it as I've just began to read the book but then I saw that the lib's were taking over your thread (as they are wont to do) and so I didn't post.

I'd get a John Galt bumper sticker but my car is brand new (bought a 2009 in late '08 after a wreck) and I'm not to the point were I want to decorate it with bumper stickers yet.

Well, according to my support group leader back home, Texas got their "village idiot" back. Ugh. Yes, those were her exact words. I took everything I had not to smack her across the face when she said it. Looking forward to coming to Texas next month! Yee Haw!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hey honugir!!! Happy to have you in our state, when you do get here! I wish it was Dallas and not Houston that you're coming to. Oh, and don't say 'yee haw' while you're here... people will give you odd looks and think you're crazy. :teeth: But we have the best Tex-Mex and Mexican food in the US so be sure to enjoy that while you're here!

Can't tell you how much I regret posting the author of that quote... Dang. Talk about off track.

If they can't argue it, they distract. Even my sister, who is a liberal, does that in any argument that I have with her. When she knows that I'm right on an issue she focuses on mundane things (such as I need to stop saying her name over and over when I'm making my points) and will argue about that. She refuses to stay on topic if she knows she's wrong and can't argue it. She has to distract and feel that she's gotten the upper-hand. It really didn't matter if you posted the author or not, the lib's would have found something else to go off about since they couldn't argue the point that you made.

They are delusional if they think that anyone else is buying their lame attempt at playing innocent after making those remarks.

liberalstolerant.jpg

Sad, but totally true.

As I have in my sig: Those that scream the loudest for tolerance are often the most intolerant. I've yet to meet a tolerant lib. My sister included. I find them to be the most narrow-minded people. They have a perception of how things should be and tear down anyone that disagrees with that perception.

I was told I was being "preachy" for taking issue with the "show tune", Mr. Sissypants comments. :confused3

You were spot on with your comments.

I hate how the left act like they have the high moral ground and we are the bigots. If we had made the showtune and sissypants references we would have been the homophobic ones.

I for one am sick of it. They showed homophobic bigotry no matter how you 'tap dance' around it. They have some nerve lecturing you for pointing it out. Thank you for standing up to them.

:thumbsup2
