Consequences of a failed temperature check?

So what happens if they take your temperature at a park or DS and you have a fever? I know they’ll turn away your party, but are you free to try again another day? Assuming you’re feeling better, of course. Or are they flagging you in the system and keep you out of Disney attractions for a longer period?

they take you to a cooling tent, if after being there for a couple of minutes you still have a fever you cannot enter that day at that time, you can try again later or another day

And please don’t dose up on fever reducing meds just to get in.

You are just endangering EVERYONE you come in contact with.

If you have a fever you should wait until you have been fever free without meds for at least 24 hours before trying to get in. (This is the norm for non-COVID illness.). With the pandemic situation you should wait longer.

I have no intention of trying sneak in with a fever. I’m not even sure I want to go while perfectly healthy! Things are kind of grim out there. But if we do go, it’s good to understand how things work.

Consider that you can have a fever temporarily without having the virus. For example, my nurse daughter was sent home from work last week. It was the afternoon, and she had been on her feet running all afternoon. By the time she drove home (30 minutes), her temperature was down to normal.

This would be especially possible in the Florida heat.
