I have decided that although I have lost a bit of weight I need to keep moving. I am at the half way point of my goal. I want to lose around 35-45 more pounds. I have been slagging off. Saying I am going to go back on induction and then eating something with rice in it.
Today is the day I said I was going to start. I have 4 weeks of being able to dedicate myself to exercise, my family, and housework before I have to go back to teaching in mid-August. Once I start teaching it will be easier because I am on a strict schedule. That is what started the weight loss in the first place. I work with a really supportive group of people. I will also be exercising with some of the other teachers at school 1 day a week.

I have decided to try to workout in the morning as well so that way nothing will stand in the way of my getting it done.

So far I have been able to stay on task with my eating. I will have to post my everyday menu so I can see what I am putting into my mouth. I will also start recording my exercise again, which is something I did not do last month because I was at Disney eating everything in sight for two weeks :guilty:

I feel so much better about myself, and I can tell my body is geting toned. I just want to be able to complete a task I have started - this one being reaching my weight loss goal.
I have waited so long to post a journal - partially because I was fearful to commit to typing on here everyday, but mostly because I was fearful of failing at my task of reaching my goal.
Right now I know I have no choice so I am going to do it. :)

Hip hip horray for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to WISH!!!

I soooo hear you about hitting a plateau part of the way through the journey. That's exactly where I am now too.

Posting a journal here is a big help--it makes you a lot more aware of what you're doing. Plus, this is a super supportive group--we'll be right here to cheer you on!!!

Working out in the morning is a great idea--the sooner you get it done the less time you have to find excuses not to!

Best of luck to you!!

Hi! Welcome to the journals. I was also leary at first about keeping a daily account of what I ate, but it became a great habit for me and helped me understand my eating patterns.

Congrats on your work so far, and good luck on this next stage. :)

WHOO HOO, TIGER CHEER!!

Thanks for the big hurrah!

I will read other posts. I used to read Castllio Mom's post all the time. She was one of the main reasons for my getting my life in shape. I would also read Lisa's (Simba's Pride) posts. I will start getting into the groove

For dinner tonight I had
Cheeseburger
Spinach
1/2 cup Atkins ice cream

Lots of water
Still no exercise!

You're welcome! You're starting a new phase of your life...you most certainly deserve someone there keeping you going.

I think I might start a low carb lifestyle for a couple weeks. Good idea? Get your exercise in, okay?

I am sitting here in front of my computer. I just got back from the obgyn office, and I thought everything was going to be ok. I had an ovarian cyst that seemed to be going away, but now I have onew that has grown to around 5 cm with some calcifications and it is septated. I am totally freaked out. She has order a ca125 which detects cancer. I am going to be seeing an oncologist on tuesday so he can look over the ultrasound, which was done in my ob's office. This was my request not the doctor's. I am totally freaked out and scared. The good news is that i have had septated cysts on my left ovary before. The bad news is that I have not had one with calficiations in them before.

I do not want to eat. Ijust want to go to bed because of the stress. I will get the blood test back sometime next week. Ijust hope I can handle the anxiety until then.

Exercise today on the tredmill at a 5% incline. Thought that was good. I will have to force myself to eat because right now I do not feel like it.

So glad I have this board to write about my thoughts and feelings. I have a two year old and an eight year old. I am terrified.

Oh my gosh. My mother had breast cancer, not the same thing. My friend's mom had ovarian cancer. Dear: I wish you strength to wake up in the morning, courage to soldier through the day, hope, love and strength. I'm really sorry.   Please feel free to come and talk to me if you need it. I will be here...your cheerleader is ready and waiting to come to your aid. Betcha didn't know we cheerleaders make pretty good friends, huh?

I just said a small prayer for you. It went "Dear lord, please let Purrrfecta not have cancer and if she does, may she have the strength to keep fighting because every day is another battle won in the war. Let her know that I am with her spiritually and that you are too. Forever and ever, amen."

Hugs and pixie dust

Tiger Cheer,
Thank you so much for your kind words.I am really trying hard not to obsess over this. I am just trying to tell myself that I have had these same symptoms before, and to look to my higher power to get me through this

Did I exercise today? No, but I did drink a ton of water.

Got on the scale this morning and I am backto my pre-disney vacation weight :flower: Now it is onward and downward. ;)

I did not exercise, but I did do yard work for two straight hours. Raked the pine needles, dug up weeds, trimming, more weeds and more weeds

I really keep active all day. I said to myself that I was going to just sit down for an hour and listen to the news and read my woman's day. Got to read it for about 30 minutes before I had to go out and pick up a friend.
Groomed my dog a bit, cut my husband's hair, cut my brother's hair. I should go into the hair cuting and grooming business.

Tomorrow, I will try to exercise in the morning. I hate going down to the treadmill in the basement. Although it is finished and has a tv and furniture in it, I feel lonely when I go down there by myself to walk. Oh well.

Weighed myself today

Great job with your eating. I have gotten into a slump and seem to eat everything in sight. I think I have actually gained weight but won't know until I get home on Saturday.

Try to get some exercise in, I should follow my own advice.:rotfl: It is much easier to say 'What difference will it make?'

Good luck with your surgery. :wizard: Hope you have a speedy recovery.

:) I have not been dieting, but I have been exercising. I may have to put my cat to sleep. Like they say when it rains it pours. I hope she will be able to pull through, but for now she is not doing so well.

I just hope I will be able to pull my life together SOON!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing else happening. I just need to get back into the right frame of mind.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. I hope everything turns out okay.

Keep trudging at it, no matter what's going on try to exercise - I know easier said than done.

I also hope things back on track for you soon and I'll keep your kitty in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!

Take one day at a time. Every day is a new beginning, don't dwell on what you did or didn't accomplish yesterday. Even though life seems overpowering, step back and relax. Post here often and get the support of this great group.

When you feel ready, join one of the monthly challenges. I haven't met one yet, but it is motivating to try. Get feeling better soon.
