First, I want to say thanks for posting info about this. It turned out great for us.
Second, sorry it has been a month since our trip, but the day we got home, law school stuff started. But, it seems to be calmed down now.
Third, here is how the vouchers paid off for us.
(Background: Dh is in his second year of medical school, and I am in my second year of law school. Our son is 3. This past trip (early august) was the first trip we have taken to Disney without our son.)
I was skeptical about the vouchers, after hearing the mixed reviews. But, I though I would take a chance. Still, I was careful, as I only ordered 2 of the $29.00 lunch vouchers and one $11 Q&C voucher. We decided (after reading the advice on this board) to split all the meals. Here is how we used them:
1st $29.00 voucher: Alfredos
We ordered
meat and cheese platter for an appetizer. 23.00
fettucinni alfredo with veal chop: ???? (it was a dinner special that the waiter said we could get with the voucher)
dessert sampler (a bit of all of the desserts they have): ????
2 cokes (or pepsis)
Bottle of water
(They did not charge us extra for the extra pop or the bottled water. We didn't request the water, the waiter just said we should have it with the appetizer)
When we were finished, the waited came out, said you bill has been taken care of, and left.
(I was worried before using this that we would be treated sorta bad, but that proved to be far from the truth.)
2nd $29.00 voucher: Rainforest Cafe
We ordered
pizza for appetizer
9oz filet and 1/2 lobster(stiffed with crab) platter w/ sides
bananas foster
one coke
(we had to pay for extra drink, wich we had expected)
The $11.00 Q&C voucher: Beaches and Cream
Drink: milkshake (they divided it into two glasses, it there was plenty)
Entree: double cheese burger w/ fries (divided onto two plates when the waiter brought it)
Side dish: Onion rings (too big to finish)
Desert: the "no way jose" dessert (we could have orderd the Kitchen Sink, but we didn't. We didn't even finish this dessert!)
At no meal did we go away without being stuffed, especially at Beaches and Cream (and it was the cheapest). Everything we had was great. We will do this again in a heartbeat.
