Connections vouchers in action!

Here is the description, borrowed from wdwig.com :

Awesome Appetizer Adventure - Great sampler for two or more, featuring Chimi-Cha-Cha, Big Blue Crab Delight, Crispy Caribe Chicken Tenders and Coastal Calamari $13.99

I am just learning about these Connection vouchers. If the annual fee is $89, what other ways are people getting discounts to even pay for the membership?

Also, I would be interested in the 4 day hopper plus pass that you can buy with Connections. These days do not have to be used consequently? (Can we park it for 2 days, day off, and then 2 more days?)

princessmomma,
After joining connections for the vouchers, I stayed on (for more vouchers for next trip and other discounts).
Here are some of the perks, of course you order all in advance and they are shipped free of charge to your home:
$4.50 movie tickets at AMC, United Artist, and other cinemas
$25 gift cards for $20 at Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Barnes and Noble, KB Toys, Sam Goody, Waldenbooks and more.
$10 gift cards for $8 for Blockbuster, Bennigans, Hard Rock Cafe, Olive Garden, Outback, Red Lobster, Planet Hollywood and more.
Discounts on tickets at Disney World, Disneyland, Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, more.

Oh, you don't have to use all the days on the park hopper at once. They are the same format as those bought at the parks.

On mousesavers, it says that there is a $1 trial month membership being offered now. Does that mean you can join for a dollar and still buy the vouchers for WDW? How long does it take to get the vouchers in the mail and do you order them over the phone/on line or what?

Sounds too good to be true so I'm kind of suspicious.

tia

I signed up on 10-18 and ordered the tickets on the 19th.
In addition to only paying $1, I am also supposed to receive 4 movie tickets.
I will post when the tickets/vochers come in.
I figure by using a credit card if anything goes wrong they will help me handle it. I hope this helps.

You can still buy the vouchers after joining for a dollar. I would call and order the vouchers over the phone though. The one time I tried online, it said it couldn't be processed, to try another time, four times...and ended up charging me FOUR TIMES. They cleared it though.
The vouchers take about a week to come in. They send them US mail, unless you are ordering PHs, then they come UPS.

I've ordered meal vouchers 5 times, and movie tickets once. My vouchers have always come by UPS within 3 days, and my movie tickets came by USPS.

Whatever you do, if your merchandise comes by UPS, give them the address where you will be all day. They will not just leave them on my doorstep, they need a release signature in person.

I am a little suspicious about the $1 trial membership as well. I would hate to be hounded to buy in if I choose not to sign up for the year membership.

I am also concerned that my name/phone number/address will be "sold" to other marketing companies. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

As far as I know, my information has not been sold, at least I haven't gotten any unsolicited calls to my cell phone.
The $1 membership is valid, my brother-in-law did it last year. Just be SURE to call personally and cancel as soon as you get your vouchers or a couple of days before your trial period ends. I've heard of people getting charged the membership after cancelling, but all it took was a phone call to clear it up.

I did not have a problem cancelling Connections. So far I have noticed any extra calls either. Hope this helps!

I currently have a trial membership to Connections, paid the $1, and now I am the proud owner of 3 PHPs (with 3 more coming by UPS probably tomorrow), and 28 Quick&Casual meal vouchers.

So far, I have been very happy with their service, and I am considering "Staying on" rather than cancelling @ the end of the 30 days.

I have a question on the vacation kingdom vouchers. We're having lunch at the AK Rainforest Cafe, and these look like they're a good deal.

Herein lies the problem. I looked at the Rainforest Cafe menu on-line at wdwig.com before I booked my PS, and the kids menu says for 12 & under. However, the vacation kingdom passes say for children ages 3-9. I have three daughters: 7, 11, and 12.

Do you see any problem with buying the child vacation kingdom vouchers and using them for 11 & 12 year old girls? I obviously don't want to buy them the $29.50 adult version when there's no way they could eat all that food.

I don't see why it would be a problem as long as they order off the kids' menu.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Karen
