Hi all! Just returned Sun. from our trip. We used the Connections vouchers in 2 places with good results.

#1 Used 2 Q&C vouchers at Beaches & Cream. Here's what we ordered. Prime Rib Sub w/ onion rings, diet coke, banana split, double cheeseburger w/ fries, milkshake, kithchen sink. Also ordered an extra drink. Split the shake between 2 people. All of this food was split between 3 adults a 4 yr. old and 11 mo. old (she didn't eat much:) ). We had NO problems with the vouchers. We paid like $2.50 or so out of pocket for the extra drink. Total was a little over $63 before tip. Server was great. She didn't even charge for the Sprite my DS wanted after he was done with his part of the shake. It was fun when they brought out the kitchen sink. They dimmed the lights and announced they were serving it. We didn't come anywhere close to fininshing it, though. We only got it for the WOW factor for my son, so we wouldn't do it again until DD is old enough to be WOWed and remember it. It IS huge and messy. They did say that it's free if one person can finish in it in a hour, though.

#2 Used Kingdom Lunch Voucher at Rainforest Cafe AK. We only used one voucher and ordered the following:
Surf & Turf (entree) Caribe Chicken fingers (app.) They wouldn't let us get the Awesome Appetizer with the voucher :( Diet Coke, Chocolate Diablo Cake, Kids burger meal, kids drink and an extra diet coke. The total we paid after the voucher was $10.53. They added the gratuity to the extra amount automatically, which I was not happy about, but overall it was a good experience. Was disappointed with not letting us get the appetizer we wanted and with adding the gratuity to the extra stuff.

Great success with Beach & Cream, Good success with RF Cafe. If you have any questions, just LMK, I'll be glad to answer what I can.

What was the price of the Surf and Turf? Was it the most expensive item on the menu (besides the lobster tails)? Was the Surf and Turf enough to split between two adults? We've got two Kingdom Lunch vouchers and four Q&C's to use during our December trip (me, DH, DS 17 and DS 3).

Thanks,
Rita

You can order the kitchen sink as your dessert with the Q & C vouches or did you pay separately for it? What if you use 2 vouches - do you stil have to order a second dessert? Can you order something to go? (like if we use 2 vouches and order KS with one and a piece of cake to go with the other - will they do this?)

I think my 6 yr old would be WOWED by the KS. Can you substitute flavors in it or just delete a flavor?

Anxiously counting the day till our trip. First stop on day of arrival is B & C!!!

Rita,
The Surf & Turf was not on the menu, so I don't know how much it was. It was definitely enough to split. My Mom and I split it and my DH at a little of the steak. The steak is 14 oz. and it was 1/2 lobster stuffed w/ crab meat. VERY good!

We did the vouchers for the kitchen sink. We used a total of two vouchers and for the desserts got the KS and the banana split. I don't guess you would have to order the second dessert if you didn't want to. But we had no problems at all with using our vouchers and our server was GREAT!

Can you order a shake as your drink? The vouchers say "no frozen drinks," but I see where people order shakes and smoothies.

You can order them as your drink. We did a couple of times back in May. No problem.

I was wondering what time did you use your voucher at the Rainforest. Can you use it at the supper hour or is there a time limit such as 4pm? thanks

We used our RF voucher at about 12:30, but I have heard of others using it at dinner since they have the same menu.

We made our PS for the Rainforest Cafe at 4:30 PM. I was told that their last lunch seating is at 4:45.

We also used the vouchers at Beaches & Cream; what a great deal. we used two vouchers for 4 of us. our cost: $22.00 total bill would have been something like $78.00....wow....word of warning though: take your appetite,,we couldn't believe how much food they brought us. You can order your desserts to go. we did just that and took a piece of cake back to the room with us. We also used the Q&C vouchers with great success at Pepper Market at Coronado Springs Resort. I'm waiting on disney to catch on to how good a deal these things can be and change the rules.

YES! Someone in my party was totally stuffed and they let her get a brownie to go on her voucher.

Great to hear about the vouchers! We are trying them in Dec!

could someone tell me which rest. accept Q&C, vacation kingdom lunch, and breakfast coupons. I found the prices for each on their website. But they only mention 2-3 rest. in each category. any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance,

thanks for the info. on mousesavers. this is exactly what I was looking for.

I will use this with the menus on wdwig to hopefully figure out where to eat.--life is full of choices!

Can anyone tell me if there are any other restrictions on using the KingdoM Lunch Vouchers at Rainforest at AK? I read about the awesome appetizer not being allowed but is there any other restrictions like on dessert or entree? Thank you

If you are using two vouchers, you CAN order the awesome appetizer. Since it's considered an appetizer for two, they expect you to share it. One of these worked well for our party of four. HTH!

What is in the appetizer for two? Thanks!
